"WHAT?!" I asked, well, yelled.
He kept looking at me as if he was in deep thought, and then suddenly,
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN YOUR FACE! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" He burst out laughing.
I facepalmed. I knew I should have seen this coming...
"Jerk." I said, clearly annoyed. I started walking through the hallway again, leaving Cael behind.
"Hey, wait up!" He shouted, but I ignored him.
"Aw, is Casseypoo mad at me?" He said rather adorably, but of course, I won't let him know I ever thought of that.
I turned my heel and looked at him with an emotionless face.
He was pouting. Goshdammit, stop doing that, you dork!
I then looked away and started walking again.
Suddenly, he grabbed my left shoulder to stop me, and the next thing I knew he was giving me a back hug, resting his chin on my left shoulder, leaving me extremely flustered.
*click*
We both turned around, only to see a girl holding up a camera, from the looks of it, she was a sophomore.
"I'm sorry! I had to! It was a picture-perfect moment and I couldn't resist!"
"It's fine. Although can we see the picture?" Cael asked.
She nodded and let us see the picture.
Boy, she wasn't kidding when she said it was a picture-perfect moment.
It was beautiful and as breathtaking as a wonderful scenery.
"This is beautiful..." I hadn't realize I said that out loud.
"Keep up the good work, love." Cael said at the girl. The girl immediately went red.
"Err...I--Thank you. Good luck with your relationship, you seem like a really good couple."
This time, it was my turn to go red.
"Oh, uh," Cael went off and looked at me, "we aren't a couple..."
"Yeah, we definitely aren't..."
"Oh. Well, that's a shame."
Awkward silence started filling the hallway.
"Listen, uh, we kind of need to get home now." I said awkwardly.
"Oh, yeah. Um, so, I hope to see you guys around, yeah?"
Cael and I nodded at the same time.
"Cool. See 'ya around!" She said then walked away.

"So, see you tomorrow?" I asked him as we stopped right in front of my house.
He nodded and awkwardly scratched the back of his head.
We were about to part ways when suddenly,
"WAIIIIT!" A voice from my house came and I facepalmed. Mum started running out of our house
"Whew! Okay, *pants* so, Cassandra dear, care to introduce me to your friend?"
Oh, no.
"Um, mum, this is Romeo Cael. Cael, this is my mum."
Mum deviously smiled as she invited Cael over to our place.
Here goes nothing.

"So how did you two meet each other?" Mum asked.
She invited Cael over for dinner and she started interrogating Cael. I feel sorry for him.
"I saw her on the first day of school. We bumped into each other." He said while looking at me.
"Yeah. We literally bumped into each other." I said while looking at mum, taking a bite from my dinner.
"Hm, you two seem like really great friends now. I guess you pretty much know about what happened to Cassandra when she was in her previous school, don't you?"
"Mum." I said with a stern voice. She knows it was a touchy subject for me.
"Uh, yeah. I actually do. I don't know the entire story though. I don't even know the name of her bully."
"That's because you don't need to." I snapped at him. He gave me an apologetic smile and I felt guilty all of a sudden.
"He's your friend, Cassandra, don't you think he deserves to know?"
"He does but--"
"You wouldn't believe Cassandra's bully was a girl. Her name is Claudia and..." Mum started blabbering stuff about what Claudia did, things that I definitely do not want to remember so I zoned her out.
I finished eating my food when mum suddenly shook me.
"Cassandra!"
"Huh? What?" I asked.
"Romeo is leaving."
"Oh. C'mon, Cael." He nodded and we both stood up.
"Goodbye, Romeo dear. It was lovely meeting you."
"As it was meeting you, Mrs. Thirlwall." He said with his charming smile. Oh, boy.
We headed outside.
"So..." I said to break the silence.
"So..." He also said.
"Thanks for coming over. Sorry you were bombarded with loads of questions from mum. Did you enjoy your dinner?"
"Very much, yeah. And your mum was very lovely, by the way."
"Was she now? Hahahaha. So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow?"
"I guess so..." he said as he looked down, "goodnight, Cassandra. Sleep tight." He said with a very 'Cael' smile.
I smiled back, "goodnight, Romeo."
I waved at him as he started walking away.
He looked back for a moment to say, "try not to think of me too much!"
Silly boy.
