Love Is Weird

chapter 7

"You can't change a person. A person can only change because they want to change".

Victoria entered the house and saw Aris looking down like a little child caught misbehaving.

"Sweetheart, I'm sorry for hitting you today. I swear, I was just angry with myself and I transferred the anger to you. Please forgive, I know that I've not been the best husband someone could dream of but I beg you to give me some time to change. I promise to become a better husband for you. I will never try to hit you again ". He knelt down

" please, stand up. I forgave you even before you apologized. I know that you're going through a lot. But I'm not angry with you. Don't promise me that you'll love me forever, promise that you'll tell me when you stop loving me". Aris looked speechless. He thought that maybe she found out that another woman is carrying his child.

" Have you had dinner yet?"

"No but I ordered pizza. So after you freshen up , you come down let's eat dinner".

"Yes sir" . She saluted and walked up the stairs.

When she went downstairs, she saw that everything has been prepared, the table is set and ready to eat.

"Let's say our prayers".

" Dear God , thank you for the food that we eat this night. We pray that you bless this food so that we can eat it in peace in Jesus name, Amen" 

Victoria served the food and sat down to eat her own.

" How was work today?" Victoria looked surprised. This would be the first time he's asking me about work, she thought .He just sit down eat and then we make love.

" It was fine today and yours?"

"It was stressful, but you can't complain about what would bring food on our table. The landlord came this evening, he said that our rent is due that we should pay him".

Victoria knew that this day would come and their house rent was $20000. She had more than enough but she can't give all the money to him at a time.

"How much do you have on you now".

"Well I have $12000 on me for now and you know they've not paid us our last months salary".

Victoria was shocked. She knew that her husband was the assistant CFO in the company he works for and they pay him up to $50000. He did not even buy the food stuffs with his own money. she had to use her last months salary to buy food for them.

" Ok, I'll give you the remaining money so that you can pay the landlord".

"Before I forget, were having dinner with my parents Monday evening. So be ready by six so that we can be there early. You know my parents hate tardiness".

"I understand. I'll be ready early".

After dinner, Victoria cleared the plates and washed the dishes.

Meanwhile, Aris was looking at Victoria as she washed the dishes. He thought on how he would blame Victoria for something and then chase her out of the house, divorce her so that he can marry Khloe before she gives birth to their unborn child. He knew that it will be hard for him to carry out the plan because Victoria loves him but he had to look for a way.
As they were about to go to bed Aris looked at Victoria

"Babe, I've missed you, your touch, your laugh, everything. Please forgive me. I promise that I'll change and be a better person for you, for us, for our future".

" I told you that I've forgiven you. Stop apologizing okay?"

"Okay".

They made love and after that they went to have their baths. After Victoria finish having her bath, she was worried and restless. She kept tossing on the bed and decided to go and watch a movie. She watched "sparkle"   after watching that, she watched a series movie called " two and a half men"  which is a comedy series movie.
She laughed and laughed until she was tired of watching the movie. She played a slow music " when we were Young by Adele".

When she sang this part she remembered when her and Aris was still in highschool. How he proposed to her during their university period

As she sang this part she thought, " I'm not sure that Aris still cares about me. With the way he's behaving it seems like he's tired of me but I'll have to look for a way to bear a child for him." She loved Aris with everything she had that she could die for him
