"I will not forget you. I have written your name on the palms of my hands"
(Isaiah 49:15-16)
People are often quick to judge God's plans as mere coincidences. But if you think of how many times those "coincidences" happen in your lifetime, you are bound to realize that maybe, just maybe, there's someone out there who aligned the stars, who aligned what happened in the past, so it will trickle down to the present. Even now, if you think about it, your actions today may be part of God's grand plan in the future.
For me two things come to mind related to this in the form of friends.
You see I have never thought of coming to Canada before. I only knew that somehow I wanted to live outside of my home country but Canada never even crossed my mind. But then my best friend since grade four once messaged me and asked me why not try my luck with Canada. It was from that point on that I started asking myself "why not?" and so I did plan for it and the course towards that goal.
But what's amazing about a simple story such as this is the fact that she was one of those childhood friends whom you've been friends with for eternity and even though you don't exactly talk on a day-to-day basis, even though you live miles away from – once you strike up a conversation, it feels like nothing has changed. You see, it's been a while since we reconnected on a daily basis, and yet that connection still exists and for that I feel so blessed to still have her in my life. But imagine that- how amazing it was that after all these years, the same person who sat beside me, the new girl in Grade 4 – St. Maurus, would be the same girl that would cause me to start my journey in Canada. How grand was God's plan to put her in my life two decades ago (give or take), have her make a great impact in my childhood life, only to use that same connection to rekindle a new goal and path in my life.
TWO DECADES.
That's how far off God has planned this very moment in my life. Imagine how far God has planned and planted the right people in yours just so you will be where you are right now. Isn't that just mind blowing? 😊
