"God is eagerly waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can't, if you don't pray; He can't, if you don't dream. In short, He can't, if you don't believe."

I love this quote!

I remember that for more than a decade, I refrained from setting high goals or dreams for myself, let alone share it with God. Why? Because I've always thought that what if my goals or plans are not aligned with His, then I would just grow resentful to Him that my goals and dreams didn't come true. I thought, I didn't want any reason to be angry with God.

For years, I thought that was a sign of faith – that I didn't want to rock my faith, let alone have a reason to rock my faith. So I remained curled up in my comfort zone to the point that I started to cry out to the Lord, "Isn't there something more to life than this?"

But now looking back, it wasn't a sign of faith. In fact, my desire to stay within my comfort zone was a reflection of how little and small my faith was. Now I realized that it is fine to have arguments with God, in fact, He welcomes them. Disappointments, anger, resentment, doubt...all these things He welcomes with open arms.

I realized now that having those feelings don't make me unfaithful to Him but in fact having those feelings and still being able to pray and have meaningful conversations with God, despite those feelings, is actually a sign of faith.

You see faith isn't something stagnant. It isn't something that should stay the same all these years. I believe now that faith is about having a personal relationship with God, allowing it to grow over time.

You see, what we have is an eager God. One who is eager to walk with you, to be with you, to be closer to you. But the thing is, He can't work His miracles unless you let Him. Only when you start to say "Yes" to God will you see the beauty and grace of His miracles and blessings. Actually, all these miracles and blessings are always around us, freely given and underserved grace. But only with a deep relationship with God will we be able to learn and recognize these wonderful things, not just through our naked eyes but through His eyes.

You have a God that is eager to make your dreams come true. But He can't if you don't believe. So offer up your dreams and goals to Him, give Him the chance to surprise you.
