"Jesus dude, how do you get rejected by the same girl twice." Darwin laughed at Druig the next day when they walked into their lecture.

His head was still pounding from the other night, he didn't need to hear that from him. After his fight with Makkari, he completely ditched the banquet and walked around the city aimlessly trying to clear his head.

When he got home later, his parents were waiting for him. They immediately started berating him as soon as he stepped through the door. His mom was mad that he left the banquet early with a woman she didn't approve of. Then Druig got pissed that she was bad mouthing Makkari. And then his dad got mad at Druig for getting mad at his mom.

It was a mess. But still, even at the end of all of it; he could only think about her. Darwin was right, Makkari rejected him twice, and yet she was still on his mind. She was still the only one he wanted.

"Do you think I'm happy about it?" Druig muttered tiredly. "I don't know why she's so difficult."

"Do my ears deceive me or is Druig Engel actually having girl problems." Their professor, Kingo, spoke up suddenly from his teaching stand. "That would make the perfect movie don't you think? Rich boy who's used to getting everything he wants, suddenly can't get the girl he truly wants."

Darwin smiled. "I would definitely watch that."

Druig shot both of them a glare.

Kingo slung his arm around Druig's shoulder. "Hey, you know I'm your teacher right, but I'm also an older adult figure as well. You can talk to me about anything, any advice you need I'll give it. I've dated plenty of women so I think I can help you a little."

"I'd rather not be given relationship advice by my teacher-"

"I honestly think you should dude, because you're never going to win over Makkari at this rate." Darwin chuckled. "I'll just go sit down while you two talk."

Druig watched him leave and then looked back slowly at Kingo who was smiling at him confidently.

"Just warning you, there's about ten minutes until the class starts, so you might wanna start talking now." Kingo said.

"Fine." Druig sighed loudly. "Her name is Makkari, she's not exactly rich like me, but I'm interested in her regardless. But I just don't understand her. One minute we're having a decent conversation and then the next minute we're arguing because I did something she didn't like. Literally just last night I tried getting us in a restaurant faster so we didn't have to wait in line, and she got upset-"

"How exactly did you try getting into the restaurant?" He raised his brow.

"I gave the host money obviously."

Kingo sighed almost in disappointment.

"What? What's wrong with that? What's the point of having money if you're not going to use it to your advantage? And why should I have to wait for service when my parents basically own this city?" Druig pressed. "If it was any other girl, they would have-"

"But she's clearly not just any other girl." Kingo snapped and Druig paused. "She's not from the same class as you which means she has different views towards certain things. If anything she actually has a little bit of humanity compared to any of you privileged kids."

Druig stared at him.

"Look," Kingo put a firm hand on his shoulder, "if you want to get anywhere with her, you need to stop treating her like you would treat everyone else. You need to actually get to know her for her, listen to what she likes, do what she wants. You need to have a connection with her Druig. Women love men who truly understand them. You need to be authentic."
