Hesitant

Chapter nine

We walked down to the cafeteria. we all took our food and Eric made an announce ment.
"I'll keep this short eloquence is for the erudite." he says and he earns some laughter. I remeber what he told me a week ago.(pretend he did) that the daughntless would all be InA sim and attack the abnegation. he needed me and Peter awake. I didn't know what we were going to do though.Eric told me that I will be fine despite my divergence. it turns out Peter is also divergent.
he pulled out the chalk board. Peter was ranked third and I was fourth. I saw that molly and drew had been cut. no oh no. I turned to them they had surprised and sad faces I hugged them tightle yams they hugged back. they left soon after. I walked to the apartment Eric gave me and Peter. I set my stuff in a duffel bag.
"In case we have to leave." I said
"Good idea." while the sim was taking place Peter and I stood side by side guarding the control room. He kept glancing over at me. There was something going on outside in the pit so I checked it out and there was nothing I saw Peter outside
"They are inside stopping the sim." he said
"Good.". I responded we waited and a few minutes later tris ran out with four.
"We have to leave" she said
"I have to stay." I said
"I'll make sure they're safe." Peter said
"Peter,please be safe." I said then he did something that surprised me. he pushed me gently against the wall and kissed me. after a few seconds I kissed back. he pulled away and pressed his forehead to mine
"I love you." he breathed before running after the others.
"I love you too." I whispered but he didn't hear me."
I heard Eric's voice o er my communication watch
"Get out here hurry!"
I ran outside
"Where is Peter?!"
"I don't know." I lied
"UHG." he said and over his shoulder I saw them running for the train.peter. there he was. I had time to catch it... but Eric. no I have to stay.
