We had criss-crossed up and down the entirety of the UK for the rest of March and half of April, but we were back in Newcastle to film an advertisement for our band's perfume. The reason we had made a perfume in the first place was a little blurry; I honestly don't remember how it even got started. The best part about being in Newcastle was that I got to see my family again. My mom was on a short business trip for the management consulting company she worked for, and she had brought Bella with her to enjoy the city. My mom's short-notice trip just happened to coincide with the tour schedule, and it was like the universe knew I needed to see them again.

Stepping through the door to their hotel room filled me with a sense of calm, of wholeness. It wasn't exactly home, it wasn't London, but it was where my family was, and that was good enough for me. The smell of cinnamon welcomed me, along with tight hugs from Bella and my mom. We all sat around the kitchen table, sipping on steaming cups of tea. I made Niall come with me so Bella could see him.

"I'm so glad you're here, Roxanne," my mom said. Her eyes sparkled with that motherly look, that gaze full of nothing but love.

"Me too. Feels nice," I said, rubbing my arm through my sweatshirt.

I glanced over at Bella, who had scooted her chair closer to Niall and was leaning her head on Niall's arm. It was very early in the morning, so she was dozing off, her head drooping then snapping back up every now and then. Niall never moved an inch to make sure not to disturb the sleeping girl.

"Do you guys have plans for the rest of the day?" my mom asked.

"Mhm," I said, swallowing my tea. "We're filming an advert, and then we've got a show."

"Wow, filming and a show all in one day?"

"Yep."

"Life of a pop star, I guess."

"I guess," I said, shrugging. I wished more than anything that I could just spend the day with my family. I knew I had a couple days with them coming up, but it was only so we could get family scenes for the documentary. Everything had a catch.

"What's the advert for?"

"A perfume," Niall responded, sipping the last of his tea, careful not to move his arm too much as Bella was fully asleep on it by that point.

"Ooh! Is it something I'd like?"

"Probably not," I laughed. "It's very... sweet. Not the soft florals that you like." I knew she hadn't put her perfume on for the day yet, but I swore I could still smell the gentle, yet intoxicating vanilla and lavender.

"Did you guys design it and all?"

"Yep. Not sure why they trusted us to make a decent perfume, but we did our best," Niall said with a chuckle. "Roxie carried most of the weight, being the scent expert that she is."

I thought back to the elevator, to 'Tobacco Vanille,' to smelling it on Harry.

Bella's head snapped up. She rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands.

"What are we talking about?"

"Roxie and the boys made a perfume, Bella," my mom said.

"Hmm," she paused. "Does it smell like... cotton candy?" she asked, yawning a little.

"You know what? There's definitely a hint of it in there!" Niall said.

She gasped a little, her eyes widening. "That's my favorite food!"

I shared a look with my mother as Bella cheered sleepily and instantly fell back asleep on Niall's arm. I couldn't believe that she was already 6. I had barely seen her since she was 3. She was growing up so fast, and everything in me ached that I was missing it.
