"Steven Universe and the Baby Gems: SHORTS"

"Extended Theme"

It all began with a memory. A special memory. Specifically, ​​the Baby Gems were all playing together in their crib, complete with some very sweet giggles and smiles all across, especially Baby Steven, who was starting to feel much happier to have new friends living with him. But then, he saw his favorite toy ukulele, that was given to him as a birthday present from Greg, sitting right by and began to grow an idea in his head for what he can do for the Baby Gems.

He then grabbed the ukulele, which was a little bit big for him, and started to try and think of a song by playing a few notes while thinking about how his little song could do.

"Hmm..." Baby Steven thought while playing a few notes to himself. "How about... uhh... it can go... like... this?"

He played a couple cords on his ukulele and liked the rhythm he was going with, but while he continued making up the lyrics, Baby Amethyst was laying on her belly, playing with the leftover crumbs from the crackers she ate before noticing what Baby Steven was doing and ended up becoming very interested about what he was up to.

"What is Ste-Man doing?" Baby Amethyst asked herself with many questions spinning around in her mind.

But before she could head over to him and figure out what he was doing, she found a plastic ring-stacker toy and ended up becoming curious about THAT instead!

"Ooh!" Baby Amethyst gasped as she decided to grab it and turned her focus on her toy.

She even took one of the rings off of it and started to chew on it as if it was a donut, leaving a little bit of drool as well, being as silly as she could possibly be, which was one of her personalities. But a little bit later, Baby Steven was finished making his brand new song, which he happily approved after some trial and error.

"Hey, guys!" Baby Steven called to them. "I have something to show you all!"

"Really?" Baby Pearl said with intrigue in her voice.

"What is it, Steven?" Baby Lapis added.

"Well... I wrote a song." Baby Steven replied with a brightly adorable smile.

"You wrote your own song?" Toddler Garnet asked in surprise.

"THAT'S SO COOL!!!" Baby Amethyst excitedly cheered. "Can we hear it?!"

"Sure." Baby Steven replied as he began to play his special tune.

If you're bad and if you're on the run...
You can count on all of us taking you down!
'Cause we're good and we'll forever be friends!
We'll win the day and then the fun won't end! 'Cause...
We are the Baby Gems!
We'll always save the day!
And if you think we can't...
We'll always find a way!

That's why the people of this world believe in...
Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl, and Steven!

After he sang that final verse, Baby Steven stood up on his two little feet and his friends approached him all at once and gave them an extremely heartwarming group hug, which delighted all of the Baby Gems that were now with him. Time passed by, and Baby Steven soon crawled into his playroom, where the Baby Gems were feeling very pleased to see him in such a cheerful mood.

Later on, Baby Steven was now seen sitting on the beach with Baby Pearl, who started to sing her part of the song while drawing in the wet sand.

If you could only know... what we really are.
When we arrived on Earth... from out beyond your star.
We were amazed to find... your beauty and your worth...
And we will protect your kind!

Of course, there were antics that ensued such as Baby Amethyst gobbling up a whole sandwich and even biting a china plate while Greg was washing the dishes, much this and Baby Pearl's complete surprise, Baby Peridot curiously navigating her technological achievements with her trusty tablet, and even Baby Lapis making little shapes with her water powers!

But on that same evening, Greg always made each day end right by reading a bedtime story to all of the babies in their two cribs. After they all peacefully went to sleep, Greg flicked off the light before he looked up at the painting of Rose Quartz, hanging right above them.

And we will protect this place!
And we will protect your Earth!
And we will protect you!

The Baby Gems then all adorably posed, with all their gems glowing shiny and proudly! Afterwards, they all then began running on the beach, while a montage of some of their favorite memories began to play around them.

"I am proud for the place where I'm free!" Toddler Garnet smiled proudly. "To live together and exist as me!"

"I was born in the name of Pink Diamond and everything that she believed in!" Baby Pearl added with her smile.

"I will ROCK for the world I was made in!" Baby Amethyst giggled. "The Earth is everything I've ever known!"

"I am proud to be everything!" Baby Steven finished. "And have my friends right by me until we're grown!"

The odds are against us! This won't be easy...
But we're not going to do it alone!

The Baby Gems soon noticed Baby Jasper and the Baby Rubies standing menacingly before them. Despite this, the Baby Gems all looked and smiled at each other, knowing they will have each other. The opening sequence then began to play as the Baby Gems all began their main part of the theme. And that began with Toddler Garnet, Baby Amethyst, and Baby Pearl adorably huddled together as a group circle.

We... are the Baby... GEMS!

Suddenly, Baby Steven popped onto the table to join his pals after GEMS!, which caused them to all giggle and laugh together.

We'll always save the day!

Just then, the Baby Gems all gathered together as they all eventually got inside their special tube-slide and slid through it while laughing and cheering.

And if you think we can't...

When they eventually landed on a pile of safety cushions, Baby Steven happily smiled adorably at the viewer while his fluffy hair got ruffled by his four friends' little hands before they all embraced each other in a very sweet group hug.

We'll... always find a way!

Afterwards, the four Baby Gems soon run along the sandy beach with their special kid-safe weapons. Toddler Garnet with her soft boxing gloves, Baby Pearl with her giant wooden pencil, Baby Amethyst with her stretchy and sticky green hand toy, and Baby Steven riding on Baby Lion's back while happily giggling.

That's why the people of this world...

Suddenly, the Mr. Universe van drives by Beach City, where they were getting greeted by the other residents, and where Baby Connie was watching as she's being carried in her mom, Priyanka's arms. That was before she was placed down on her feet and followed them with a determined smile on her face while welding a homemade sword made from a paper towel tube and pieces of cardboard.

Believe in...

When they got back on the beach, Greg got out of the driver's seat and happily smiled when he soon opened the van door for the Baby Gems, where they soon, one by one, came out and said their names.

Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl...

and Steven!

As they joined together as a group on the sand, along with their friends, Baby Peridot, Baby Lapis and Baby Bismuth, they all looked up at the beautiful night sky and saw a magical shooting star pass by as the title was revealed.
