Loki's Goddess

Chapter 30

A week passes and sleep becomes nonexistent. You train tirelessly everyday but at night the nightmares keep you up for hours. One particular night you drift off into a light sleep and can clearly see Thanos in front of you. He smirks as he digs his sword through your body. You can feel the pain, the blood running down your body and can see the life you wanted to live fading before your eyes. You try to wake yourself up with a scream. But this time you can't wake up. You remember everything.

You can feel your body begin to panic as the memories come flooding into your mind. Your subconscious finally broke free from its prison and is reminding you of everything that happened. Every kick, punch and shock; you feel every one of them.

Your mind screams Loki's name.

He shoots out of bed and comes running to your room. He crashes through the door and sees you thrashing in the bed.

He runs over and grabs you. Wrapping you tightly in his arms trying to get you to calm.

Your hands have a black haze around them. Loki sees and lifts your head to see your eyes are completely black.

"Serenity," he says with fear in his voice.

But you don't even know that he's there. You are trapped in your mind and can't wake up.

You wrap your hands around your head and begin to yell louder and louder as each memory presents itself.

At this point others in the compound can hear you and take off toward your room.

Tony comes racing into the room,"what's going on," he yells.

Loki looks at him, "I'm not sure. Her eyes are open but it's like she's trapped in a dream."

Tony walks over and sees the black aura around your body.

Loki's mind races as he tries to find a way to wake you up.

He then closes his eyes and enters your mind. He sees you in the glass cage as he did the last time. But this time the invisible wall isn't there.

He runs over and frees you from the guards and takes you in his arms.

"Serenity, you are dreaming. Your subconscious broke free and you  are just remembering everything. I need you to wake up."

You nod and then the memory fades.

When he opens his eyes he looks directly at you.

Your eyes slowly return to their normal color and the black haze around you begins to fade.

You look around the room and everyone's eyes are on you.

Tony grabs you by the face, "Serenity what did you see."

"everything," your voice trembles.

You explain everything from your time on Thanos' ship. Every gruesome detail of your torture. Tony's head hangs low with every word.

Shockingly you are calm the entire time you tell the story. As though now that you can remember the trauma, you can deal with it properly.

You try to lighten the mood, "well we know a new color. Black means fear."

You give Loki a small smile but he doesn't smile back.

Everyone ensures that you are okay before leaving the room.

Tony grabs your hands, "I would feel better if you come down and let Jarvis do a full assessment."

You give him a small smile and squeeze his hands, "dad im okay, really. My mind just needs to sort through all of this and I need to work through the trauma myself."

He hugs you and leaves the room.

Loki hasn't moved his eyes off you for a single second.

You look up at him and rub his cheek. "I'm okay Loki. We all knew this would eventually happen. I couldn't repress the memories forever."

He nods in agreement. He gets up to leave the room.

"Loki," you say softly.

He turns back and looks at you

"Will you stay with me?"

His smile returns, "of course my love."

He walks over and kisses you. You lay in bed wrapped in his arms.

"I love you Loki."

"I love you too," he replies softly.
