Loki's Goddess

Chapter 31

It's the day before Thanos' expected arrival. Your power surges through your body after every training session. You feel as though you have total control over them now and feel prepared for Thanos to return.

That night everyone meets in the kitchen to go over the game plan.

Steve stands at the head of the table, "we expect his ship to break the atmosphere around 2 in the afternoon tomorrow. Since he's bringing the fight to us we have all the resources we need."

Sam interrupts, "the only resource we need is her," he points at you, "you ready for this kid?"

You smile at him and nod, "lets kill this fucker."

Steve looks at you, "Serenity we've talked about the language."

You laugh, "sorry steve."

He smiles, "but she's right. Let's kill this fucker."

You return to your room and sit out on the balcony trying to relax your mind. You close your eyes and go through every possible outcome.

You suddenly feel his lips on yours.

You open your eyes and see Loki crouched in front of you inches from your face.

He tucks your hair behind your ear and smiles at you.

"Have I told you how beautiful you are?"

You smile and look down, "everyday my God of Mischief."

"That still isn't often enough," he laughs. He lifts your chin. "show me those eyes."

You look up at him and can feel a single tear fall down your face.

"I would ask what you're thinking about but I already know the answer. I don't have to enter your mind for that."

"I just want this to be over," you reply.

"it will be love. He's no match for you. And besides with me by your side he really doesn't stand a chance."

You smile and kiss him.

Suddenly there is a boom in the sky and you both look up to see Thanos' ship hurtling toward the compound.

"Well I guess he couldn't wait until tomorrow," you say sarcastically.

Everyone grabs their gear and runs outside the compound as his ship hits the ground. The doors open and out walks the creature from before.

"Children of Earth, prepare to die at the hands of Thanos. The savior of the universe."

Your gaze moves from the creature to Thanos as he walks out of the ship.

Thanos interrupts the creature, "I'm here to take revenge on behalf of my crew that died at the hands of you people."

You laugh and step past everyone. "they didn't die at the hands of the avengers. They died from my hands alone."

"there she is," Thanos smiles, "I see we both left marks on one another." He points toward your stomach and the rubs his face; still recovering from the burns

"luckily mine can be covered, but you can't do much with that ugly mug of yours."

He smiles and shakes his head. He lifts his sword and signals his army to attack.

They come from every direction. Everyone starts fighting. Your powers burn a bright purple as the adrenaline rushes through your body. Each person uses their own strength and abilities to easily tear down this army. You lock eyes on Thanos as he watches the entertainment from a distance. You can hear Loki in your mind. "show him what true power looks like."

You smile and run straight toward Thanos. Cutting down everything in your path. You use your powers to propel yourself over the crowd and come crashing down with a bolt of energy that turns those within 5 feet of you to dust. You lock onto your target and begin fighting Thanos. Luckily Loki taught you his skills with the daggers. With each clang of your metal hitting his, your anger grows. You manage to strike across his arm leaving a large wound that begins to bleed.

He laughs, "I must say you are a worthy opponent. But no match for this." He pulls out the gauntlet that has 2 infinity stones on it. He puts it on and starts using its power to fight you. He rips trees from the ground and throws them at you. One after another until one finally knocks you to the ground. You make it back to your feet.

"enough of this," you say as your eyes turn red.

You begin to levitate in front of him and start throwing balls of red hot energy at him. He manages to block them but the brightness of each flash leaves him blind for a moment.

You run and jump on top of him. Wrapping your legs around his neck. You make a rope of your powers appear in your hands and wrap it around his neck, choking him.

He manages to get a hand around your arm and he throws you into the side on the ship.

The noise of you hitting the metal was loud enough to grab everyone's attention. Steve signals for the others to try and reach you to help fight him off but more and more guards appear from the tree line. Almost creating a wall between you and them.

You struggle to get up but are able to catch your breath and rise to your feet.

Thanos smiles at the sight of blood falling from your face.

"All that power but you forget child. You are still mortal. All it would take would be the right amount of energy to kill."

You laugh "yeah my body might be mortal. But you haven't seen my new trick yet."

He looks at you with confusion. You snap your fingers and his vision goes black. You enter his mind and begin attacking both physically and mentally. In reality you are able to see him standing there in a daze. He can't see you in person but sees you in his mind.

You take off running toward him and kick him, sending him flying. In his mind he fights back, trying to regain control of his sight. You approach his body as he punches the air hoping to strike you.

You laugh, "pathetic."

You snap your fingers and his vision appears. He tries to stand but you keep him pinned down with one hand. Your raw energy shoots from your hands like flames. You lift his body off the ground by his throat as he struggles to breath.

"I want you to bare witness to your army's death."

You raise your other hand and flames race through the crowd. Flowing around your team like a river past a rock. Thano's army is, once again, reduced to ash. Everyone's eyes focus on you as you levitate off the ground. You are face to face with Thanos. He tries to reach out and grab you but with one swift motion his hand is severed from his body and falls to the ground. He yells in pain. You throw his body to the ground creating a crater in the earth. You lower yourself down and your eyes turn black.

You stand over him and flames shoot from your entire body. He looks into your eyes and sees death.
