It was a six hour rehearsal. I was tired. I hurt. I was hungry. One of my wolf wounds started to bleed during break. Now we could go home. Tomorrow was the concert. Sold out.

I tiredly unpacked the guitar when we got back to the hotel. I brushed my teeth, and quickly changed into pajamas. I lay in bed. Alone, and in pain. I couldn’t sleep. Jimmy might die tomorrow. No. No it won’t happen. Jimmy came in, and laid down next to me. I wanted to tell him everything, but I didn’t want to scare him. I laid my head on his chest, and he pulled the blanket over us. I watched as Jimmy closed his eyes. I made sure that he was sleeping before I got up. I grabbed a jacket, and wrote a quick note, and set it on my pillow.
Jimmy, went to lily field. Maybe see Lily. Be back soon. Need some time to think about tomorrow. Love you
~Meredith
I opened the hotel door, and ran down the hallway quietly. As I waited in the elevator, I remembered when I first met Jimmy, and he comforted me in the elevator. I smiled and remembered the memories. The doors quietly squeaked open, and I walked out the back door, and out to the lily field.
The lilies were shining in the moonlight. I got to the middle of the field, and fell on my knees, and cried. There was a sudden bright flash, and Lily was next to me. She wasn’t a ghost anymore. She was an angel now. I wiped my tears away from my face. “Lily, you’re beautiful.” I got up, and pet her neck. She lowered her wing. “You want me to ride you?” She nodded her head. I carefully jumped on, and Lily ran off at a gallop. We were running straight for the Maple tree where Jimmy proposed to me. Then she jumped up, and her wings started to move. I was flying. I felt so free, and happy. I forgot about all of the bad things. I let Lily take me where ever. So where did she go? A cloud. She flawlessly landed on the cloud, and she lowered her wing for me to get off. “Lily, I don’t know.” She looked at me, and I could trust her. My foot touched the fluffy surface, and I stayed put. My second foot landed. I was standing on a cloud. Lily walked over to another section of this cloud, and I followed her. There was this small pond, with lily petals floating in it. I looked at my reflection. I was hideous. All of the wounds all over me. I teared up, and my tears fell in the pond, distorting my reflection. When the water was normal again, all of my wounds were gone. On the back of my shoulder, there was a lily marking.
“Lily, thank you so much!” I hugged her neck, and she gestured her head towards the pond. It showed Jimmy, and he was starting to wake up. “Shoot, we’re never gonna make it!” Lily scooped me up with her wing, and we dashed down to the hotel. In the river, I saw our reflection. Coolest thing ever. Lily landed on our balcony, and she looked at me. “Bye Lily. I, I love you.” She neighed, and flew back to the clouds. I ran into the bedroom, and carefully laid back down in bed. I stuffed my note in my pillowcase, and got some rest. Tomorrow was the day.
