We both walked out into the hallway, and into Jonesy's room. "Heyo!" I waved to Jonesey. "Hey Meredith! Whats up?" He finally got up and walked over to me. "Eh, nutin' much. Do you know where Jimmy is?" He looked at me. "Umm.. no, not really. He said that he had to go into town to get something. I really don't know though." Why would Jimmy just leave me without a word? I shrugged my shoulders. "So, what are we doing today?" Robert looked at the window. "Just a free day. Getting settled." Jonesey flopped on the couch. Everybody looked bored. I looked at the couch. Four pillows. Four lonely pillows.
I casually grabbed a pillow and walked behind Robert. "SURPRISE ATTACK!!" I smacked Robert in the back of the head, and he screamed like a girl, and jumped. Jonesey laughed, and fell off the couch, and Robert was now chasing me around the room with a pillow. I fell over Jonesey, and Robert fell ontop of me. We all looked at each other, and laughed. Robert got up and brushed himself off. "Round two anybody?" Robert said while clutching his pillow. We both looked at Jonesey. "You're on." He grabbed a pillow, and we paused. "Want to go hide in different rooms on our floor? Like commando?" I got excited, and so did everybody else. "Five, four, three, two, one, go!" With that, I bolted out of the room, and down the hallway. I opened Bonzo's door, and hid right behind the door. I heard him sit up in bed. "Meredith? What are you doing?" I put my finger to my mouth. "Pillow war. Shh." I said in a whisper. He nodded his head, and laid back down.
I heard footsteps down the hallway, and Jimmy's door opened. I slid past the door, and quietly stepped down the hallway. I looked in Jimmy's room, and saw Robert looking around. I quietly walked into the room.I clutched my pillow as I approached Robert, but I felt a hand on my shoulder. I screamed and spun around, and hit Jimmy in the face. I got Robert's attention now. Jimmy fell to the ground, probably just stunned that I smacked him in the face with a pillow. "Oh my God Jimmy! I'm so sorry. !" I kneeled down by his side, and looked at him. He was laying on his stomach, motionless. I shook him. "Jimmy?" He spun around quickly, and hit me with a pillow, and I fell over.
I couldn't stop laughing. Jimmy just hit me with a pillow. He crawled over to me on his knees, and looked at me. "You alright?" He grabbed my hand and helped me up. "Yeah. That was just funny!" I was still laughing, and I couldn't breathe "So, where did you go?" He looked at me, and started to turn red. "Oh you know, just needed to get some, umm, things." He started to rub the back of his neck. Something was up. But I didn't look too much into it. "Ok." By now, Jonesey was in our room too. Jimmy took my hand in both of his hands. I looked up at him, and he smiled down at me. "So.." "So.." Everybody left the room. We just sat on the floor holding hands.
"What are we gonna do today babe?" Jimmy just kept looking down at my hands. "Hey, um Jimmy?" No response. He just stared at my hands. "Are my hands like models there Jimmy?" He snapped out of it. "Oh sorry, I was just thinking..." His cheeks started to turn a bright pink. "Think about what?" I started to gently squeeze his hands. "Um, oh, nothing." "There has to be something Jimmy." I laughed, and he looked over at me, and just smiled. I stared deep into his green eyes, and he looked into my blue-green eyes. I felt my cheeks get warm, and Jimmy leaned forward. The tips of our noses were touching gently. He leaned forward more, and we started to kiss.
*** 2 hours later***
I was laying on the bed in a deep sleep. Very deep. I faintly heard Jimmy come over to me. "Hey. Hey? C'mon!"By now he was shaking me. "Sorry Jimmy." I swung my legs over the bed, and rubbed my eyes. Jimmy held my hand as we walked out the door, and met everybody else out in the hall. "So, ya ready?" Robert said running down the hallway. "Ready for what?" I don't remember being told anything. "Oh, we were all gonna go horseback riding! You could teach us!" Jonesey was jumping up and down like a five year old girl getting her first Barbie doll. My face lit up. "Let's go!" I grabbed Jimmy's hand, and he shoved his other hand in his pocket. I still wondered what he was hiding from me.
We walked out of the hotel, and we were greeted by fans. Many fangirls of Jimmy were giving me a death stare.I clung to Jimmy, and got closer to him. Some of these girls scared me. We piled into Jimmy's car, and drove off into the country side of Chicago.
***
We pulled into a dirt driveway, which shook the car rather violently. I grabbed the car door, trying to stay in one place, and then I saw so many horses. There were so many colors in the pasture, and there was this huge barn. Huge barn. We pulled up in front of the barn, and we all piled out. Nobody else was on the farm. Ride by yourself. We all walked into the barn, and chose out our horses. I looked over at where Bonzo was standing. He was standing up in front of a Clydesdale horse stall. He just kept on smiling at the horse, and the horse kept on looking at him. Robert of course stood with a palomino stallion. Two golden studs together. Jonesey stood with a quiet, chestnut Quarter Horse. They seemed perfect for each other. Jimmy brought back memories. He was in the stall of a black stallion. He looked ready to run, and so did Jimmy. I didn't have a horse. I was looking down the aisle. Looking at everybody's excited faces. "Where's your horse?" Jimmy asked me. "Umm. There isn't another one in the barn." I was wrong. Down in the dark in the aisle. there was a faint nicker. Two to be exact. My head gears were turning, and I ran down the aisle to find Achilles and Hope.
"OH MY GOD!!" I ran into Hope's stall and wrapped my arms around her neck. She was so big now. Almost the normal height of an adult. I heard many footsteps thundering down the aisle. They all stopped in front of the stall. Jimmy laughed, and ran into the stall with me. "What are they doing here?" I asked Jimmy. Bonzo slapped his head. "I am so sorry, I forgot to tell you that they were sent over here. I don't know why though. I heard that people heard about you, and wanted to see the horses. My wife also thought that you would miss them. So sorry that I forgot to tell you guys." He walked over to us in the stall. "All the way from England?" I was shocked that these horses survived the boat trip. He nodded his head, and I walked over to see Achilles. "So Jimmy, you gonna take Achilles?" His face lit up. "Are you serious? I would love to!" He ran his hand down Achilles's neck, and smiled.
We all threw on helmets in the tack room. I had to saddle all of the horses for everybody. It took a while, but I think that in the end, it will be worth it. The boys led their horses out, all tacked up, to the front of the barn. I grabbed a bridle, and walked down the hallway to Hope. She sniffed the bridle in my hands. "I know you've never had this in your mouth, but, can we try?" My hands started to get a little shaky. Hope looked at me, and she lowered her head to the bridle. I smiled as I slipped the bridle on, and she took the bit without any fuss. I slid open the stall door, and trotted her down the aisle. As the sunlight flashed, Hope threw her head up, and started to prance. The boys looked at Hope, then at me. "Where's your saddle?" Jonesey said while looking at Hope. "She never had a saddle on." I started to walk over towards the herd of horses. "You guys ready?" Jimmy nodded his head quickly, and jumped up in the saddle. I watched as everybody jumped up in their saddles after watching Jimmy. I looked around the front of the barn, and saw a boulder. I smiled as I remembered my first ride with Achilles, and I walked Hope over, and jumped on.
