TW: violence
It was one week since the trio arrived at the Survey Corps. Everyday since they arrived we had gotten to know each other. Isabel and I were closer than ever, and I considered her one of my closest friends. I trained them everyday, but I never got around to challenging Levi yet. I was going to save that until after our expedition. Levi and I spent a few more times alone, just us. We met once in my favorite wildflower field. He was kind, even if you had to look deep down to find it. We were close, but not in the sense that he knew everything about me and I him. No, there was just a spiritual connection. When we did meet alone, we never really talked. I just sat by his side and I think it helped both of us.
Furlan and I also became quite close. We often baked sweets together, when we had the time. I was a terrible baker, but Furlan taught me. We would make tarts and cookies. Isabel and Hange would always be the judges of our baking. And we never heard any complaints from them. Overall the week that I got to know the three of them, was one of the happiest of my life. I don't think I ever smiled or laughed more. The missing piece in my life was finally there. And even if none of us wanted to say it, we all knew it was true. It was funny how one week of friendship translated into the feeling of being lifelong friends. I felt things I never thought I would experience, and I wanted to feel them forever. But every good thing must come to an end right?
It was the day before the expedition. Everyone was thoroughly nervous. We were trying out Section Commander Erwin's new long range scouting formation. I had memorized it, and it was quite an amazing idea. Erwin really was a certified genius, and I was proud of him. I reassured my squad that everything would be fine, they were all strong. I knew every single one of them would make it back alive. We had training as usual that morning. After that I watched my squad in hand to hand combat. Then I dismissed them for the day, and headed to lunch with my new friends. We sat at my usual table in the corner. The food for lunch was; tomato soup with surprisingly not stale bread.
"I can't wait to finally see outside the walls!" Isabel, who was seated next to me, exclaimed excitedly. "I've always wondered what it looks like." Furlan said as he glanced into the distance, lost in thought. I smiled, "It's beautiful, I can't wait till I can leave the walls forever."
Levi glanced at me. I looked back at him, my heart leapt as it always did when he looked my way. His mysterious eyes burning holes into my fragile skin. His moist, pink lips moved slightly as he chewed his food. I could hear the faint sound of Isabel's voice, as I was drawn away from the world. Put in a trance by the mesmerizing man who sat across from me. He made something as simple as eating lunch, my whole world. I watched as he swallowed his bread, and as it traveled down his throat. I stared longingly at his slender hands as they reached for his cup of tea. His fingers glided on the white glass cup, as he held the rim and brought it to his mouth. His lips wrapped around the glass in a delicate fashion, and I wondered what they would feel like touching mine. When he finished his sip of tea, he brought the glass down gently. Sliding his pinky under the cup when he set it down, so as not to disturb the tea inside.
My eyes wandered back to his lips, pink roses that I longed to taste. I watched as his tongue escaped his mouth, to taste the reminisce of tea left upon his lips. My eyes dilated as he placed his plump, pink tongue back inside his mouth. My eyes moved farther up his face, stopping at his beautiful eyes of grey and blue. I thought I could spend hours staring. It was almost like I could see his soul through his eyes, and he mine. I felt sparks fly through me when his eyes interlocked with my own. I felt the need to touch him, to feel his cheek under my hand. To run my hands through his inky hair. To taste his hard-
My thoughts of lust and love were interrupted when Hange slammed her plate next to mine, and took a seat next to me. I swiftly turned away and faced her. She had started joining us for lunch most days and then in the afternoons we would run experiments on Chikatilo and Albert. I think for the most part everyone in our group got along well. I mean Levi was annoyed by most of what Hange did, but I think he enjoyed her company.
