Skulduggery Pleasant put Hawk down on a medical bed then got Dr.Nye and he took him into theta and started to operate. Skulduggary came and hugged Valkrie and Tanith ask "whats Nye was doing?" skulduggary replied that Nye was fixing Hawks heart because he was still alive. Valkrie said "what how could he still be alive? I destroyed his heart. Ghastly answered "his heart may be dead but his brain is still active but not for that much longer.
Hawk POV
I was thinking that was all I could do.
I was trying to get up but I realised that only my heart wasn't working.
I could feel pain, so much pain. I focused on it and my eyes flickered open. All I could see was bright lights.
Valkrie POV
All she could see was Hawks face. She spotted movement. His eyes flickered then she ran into the room and stood other Hawks head and his eyes snapped open. Nye called skulduggary in and said it was all he could do. Hawk was still going to die unless he got some help from China.
Over all POV
Hawk stood up. There was a huge gapping hole in his chest. Valkrie gave him his jacket and they went out to meet Skulduggary, Ghastly and Tanith. Tanith thanked him for saving her from that horrible remnant. Ghastly asked "what happened to the remnant anyway." Valkrie went "oh." Hawk said that when Valkrie killed me it sorta exploded. Skulduggary said "everyone get in the car we need to go to Chinas. Valkrie said "are you sure about this Skulduggery." Tanith asked why he wouldn't be and Ghastly whispered in her ear too tell her that China captured his wife and watched his family get killed and tortured. Tanith gasped quietly.
They reached China Sorrows new house and knocked on the door.
