The gang made there way up to the hill were Tanith last saw Hawk. They split up fletcher and skulduggary, Ghastly and Tanith and then just Valkrie.
Valkrie POV
I turned a corner in a abandon ware house and saw Hawk he was lying on the floor trying to get up but he wouldn't let himself up because the remnant was taking control he disappeared then reappeared next to her. She gasped and said "THAT WAS SO COOL. Then remembered the situation they were in. She felt something behind her and kicked out she heard a grunt then a bump as Hawk fell to the floor.
Hawk regained control and said something with a look of extreme pain on his face. Valkrie I need you to do this as tiers run down her cheeks she said " there has to be another way there has to be." Please just do this for me I need you to be strong while he put a strong look on hi face. I cant I can't do this I wont! Please Valkrie I don't won't to hurt anyone
it's the only way. No I screamed you'll die! Valkrie said crying. She new what she had to do she mustered up her courage and punched Hawk in the chest and felt his heart and squeezed it hard. It exploded and I took my hand out and screamed! Skulduggary Tanith ang Ghastly came running.
Valkrie ran and sobbed on Tanith while the rest look at what she had done. Ghastly picked up Hawks dead body and walked to fletcher and they teleported to the sanctary. Hawk opened his eyes for just a second for skulduggary to see and too him out of Ghastlys hands and rushed of to doctor Nye the others followed wondering what he was doing.
