(a. Introduction)
Note from writer: Hello there, and welcome to my first (full-length) story; i'd like to get you introduced to some aspects first: Most of the story is structured slightly differently compared to the usual, although there's some full parts, but expect some parts to be structured like this, for example:
Part (?): blah blah blah
(a. Deep-fried-steak)
blah blah blah
(b. words, i dunno)
blah blah, cranberry sauce
Now that you've got a glimpse of the structure, that's good, The main character does not have very much lines, so it is mostly up to you to describe what he thinks; there's no pre-defined lines most of the time for the main character, anyway. But, more importantly, remember the buzzword: "Deep-fried-steak". To avoid spoiling anything, i would like not to imply its importance, but keep that in mind while reading.
Also, here's some anachronism later in the story; Don't worry; it's all intentional, and tropes are tools.
Now, off to the story; don't mind the title drop, though:
(b. Another Day In A Life)
Greg, an "everyman" working as an accountant for, out of all things. "Corporation Co." No seriously, who names companies like that? It's even more funnier if you realize that it's an enterprise worth a million dollars. But anyway, it's a well-paying job, really.
It's 6:45 AM on a Friday morning, it's a day away from a weekend; no work on those two days. Greg prepares his day per usual: Get breakfast, a shower, dressed and ready for accountin' action. Sounds quite badass for a basic job, isn't it? He opens the door that leads him to the outside world, and is greeted by the, lovely, stinking morning dew, Trees and neighbors that either hate him or love him; he's the protagonist, after all.
Also, there's a bike. If you were expecting a fancy car or a motorbike, it's a bicycle. Why? Because he still haven't tested for a driving license. That's why he's called Carless Greg, despite his wealth. And so, he rides his bike to work per usual. He gets late sometimes, but on the other half, he dosen't.
It is 7:03 AM: Greg arrived to his workplace quite early, but on time. He showed the reception desk his pass, and he is granted access to the workplace, and there he goes contributing to society. On his way, he is greeted by Wright, his manager. They both are quite good friends, and do usually go do things on weekends; Football, getting drunk, getting drunk and playing football and gambling on a fight between two lobsters. The last one is not common, and happens once a month, really. Also getting drunk and playing football happens inside the bar. There's a reason why they're banned from few local bars for that.
He did his accountant work, and it is now a lunch break at 12:20 AM. 11 minutes later at 12:31 AM, while Greg and his co-workers do his usual lunch routine, a suspicious package was sent to the building. There's no noise, smell or things sticking out of it, It's in a perfect condition and the spelling on the package is correct.
The good news is that it is not a bomb! The bad news is that it is a magic portal that sucks in everybody, including Greg and everybody inside the building. It's not over yet, however, as there is an other world.
"Greetings, Greg. May a journey may follow to you.." Says a male voice, while everything is pitch black. Now i wonder where Greg is..
