The gravel crunched from underneath the tires of a car. A redhead girl sat in the passenger seat, staring up at what is now her new house. The house was not very big, but a family of two didn't need a big house.

Evelyn stepped out of the car, only to go to the back seat and open the door. Once the door was open two Australian Shepherds sped out and into the front yard. She smiled as she watched the dogs run around before returning to the car and grabbing a pet carrier.

The redhead opened it to be met with a meow, "Hi baby" she cooed as she pulled the black and white cat out of the carrier. The cat purred as she snuggled into her human even more.

Evelyn's sister, Jenna, came to stand next to her sister, "I think they like it here," she said gesturing to Freya and Kenya who were still running in circles.

Evelyn smiled as she watched her dogs, "Ya, I think we will like it here too."

"Are you sure you're gonna be okay here? I know it's new and you don't like new things." Jenna asked her sister.

Evelyn turned to her sister, "Jen, I'm fine. I promise. You were able to open your pet clinic, which I know you've wanted since before I was born. And besides, I think it was good for me to get out of the city, It held so many bad memories."

Jenna wrapped her arm around her sister and gave her a small squeeze. "Okay. Let's start unloading this car," she said, clapping her hands excitedly. Evelyn laughed as she watched her sister run to the back of the car.

Evelyn placed the last book on her bookshelf in her room

Evelyn placed the last book on her bookshelf in her room. She turned and looked around her room. It was a very cozy room, the walls were painted white, her bed sat in the corner, fairy lights hung around the tops of her room, casting it in a light glow, and many plants hung around her room. She smiled to herself, satisfied with the results.

The redhead looked out the window to see the sun was still out. Quickly pulling on her shoes she bounced down the stairs, "Jen?" she called through the house.

Jenna poked her head out from the family room, "Yeah?"

"I'm going for a walk," she told her. At the word 'walk' Kenya's and Freya's heads perked up from where they were lying on their beds.

Evelyn smiled as she opened the door wide enough for both dogs to run out ahead of her, "I'll be back in a little while,"

"Okay be safe!" Jenna called as the door closed.

The girl walked down the front steps, gravel crushing under her boots. The two dogs walked next to her as she walked toward the forest. They walked for a little while until the dogs ran off, chasing after a squirrel. "Kenya, Freya! Stop!," she yelled as she chased after them.

She soon lost sight of the two dogs, causing her to slow to a jog, eventually coming to a stop. Evelyn doubled over, trying to catch her breath, "I'm so out of shape," she breathed as she stood back up, placing her hands on her hips.

Evelyn looked around, realizing she was now completely lost. She blew out a frustrated breath and did the only thing she could think of, she kept walking. "Kenya! Freya!" she called as she walked.

She kept calling for them until her calls were interrupted by a yelp. Evelyn's foot got caught on a root, causing her to trip. Frustrated, she stood up straight, muttering curses under her breath as she continued walking.

Finally, she came to a clearing with a house. There, she found Kenya and Freya playing with a group of boys. She huffed before whistling, gaining the dog's attention. The two dogs perked up, running to their owner.

As she was examining the boys, a woman walked out of the house. She was about to speak when she noticed Evelyn standing near the edge of the forest. "Excuse me?" she called just as she was getting ready to walk back into the forest and hopefully find her way back home. "Can I help you?"

The group of boys turned at the sound of Emily's voice. They followed her line of sight to settle on Evelyn. It wasn't until they turned towards her that she realized they were all shirtless. How they weren't shivering? She had no clue.

Evelyn smiled awkwardly at the woman, "Sorry, my dogs ran off, I was just trying to find them. But doing so, I got lost." She explained. "I was just leaving, I'm sorry"

Emily smiled at the younger girl, "It's no problem," she reassured. Just as Evelyn turned to go back into the woods a voice rang out through the clearing, "Wait! I know you. Your sister is opening a clinic around here right?" a boy asked.

Evelyn smiled at the boy, nodding "Ya, we just moved here."

"I'm Jared. This is Jacob, Seth, Embry, Quil, Sam, and Emily." he introduced, sticking his hand out for her to shake.

"Evelyn," she spoke with a smile, shaking his hand.

Emily walked up to the girl, "Would you like to stay for a while?" she asked.

The red-haired girl gave her a small smile, "I would, but I really should be getting home."

Jared stepped up to stand beside her, throwing an arm around her shoulders "She'll come back tomorrow," he stated, not asking if she could. Emily looked at her, hopeful that she would.

Evelyn shrugged her shoulders, "Yeah, sure. I'll come back tomorrow."

Emily beamed, clapping her hands together. "Wonderful, then we will all see you tomorrow."

Evelyn smiled as she turned to leave, waving as she entered the woods again.
