"I don't have Claws, or fur, or glowing wolf eyes, all I have are the voices in my head."
Evelyn Moore had always been a peculiar girl. She sees people that aren't there and hears voices in her head. Now to some people, this might freak them out, or...
To say Evelyn was having a bad day would be an understatement. So far, her alarm didn't go off, her car wouldn't start, making her late to open the clinic, and spilled coffee down her shirt, all before eleven in the morning.
Evelyn currently sat at the front desk, working on filing while Jenna dealt with a man outside the clinic who was scaring all of their patients away. The redhead watched as the man stood up, taking what was supposed to be a threatening step towards her sister. Evelyn had enough, she slammed the filing cabinet closed before standing up and grabbing the fire extinguisher. She opened the front door, just as she heard the man, who was clearly drunk, say something, "Woman should not own a business. That's the man's job." he spits.
Evelyn stepped out, "Yeah? Well what does the man think of this?" she questioned before pulling the nozzle, causing the white powder to go off on the man. The man quickly runs away, allowing Evelyn to drop the extinguisher to her side.
Jenna stands there in both bewilderment and amusement. "Thanks Ev. But you shouldn't have done that. You could get in trouble."
"Yeah well, I don't care at this point. I've had a horrible day and needed to let some steam off. What better way to do that than stray a drunk guy with a fire extinguisher." She joked.
Jenna laughed, "Well, hopefully, your day gets better." she pointed to something over Evelyn's shoulder. "You have visitors." With that, she patted her sister's shoulder and walked back into the clinic.
When Evelyn turned around she locked eyes with one of the people she had been avoiding. Averting her eyes, Evelyn walked back inside, leaving Embry and Quil to gape at her from across the street.

Paul was sulking on Emily's couch. The pack hadn't seen Evelyn for weeks. Anytime one of them would go to her house to try and talk to her she never opened her door, or she'd come up with some excuse not to talk to them. Paul was going crazy, he missed her. Her smile, her laugh, he missed when her nose would scrunch up when she laughed, he missed how her eyes would light up with happiness when anyone talked about animals.
Before he could continue to sulk the front door slammed open, causing everyone's heads to look towards the door. "Yo Paul, your imprint is a badass," Embry explained as he and Quil walked through the door.
Paul immediately stood up, "What happened? Is she okay?" he questioned the two boys, worry lacing his tone.
Quil scoffed, "Trust me, she is perfectly fine. Let's just say you don't want to get on her bad side. Well, more than we already are."
"What did she do?" Emily questioned from the kitchen, interested in what the small redhead did.
"Some dude was harassing Jenna in front of the clinic so she came out and sprayed the dude with the fire extinguisher," Embry explained.
Emily let out a laugh, while Paul stood there with a proud look on his face. His smile quickly fell when he realized that Evelyn was still avoiding him. Paul realized just how much he missed her, he needed her back. Quickly, he turned toward Emily, "What can I do to get her back?" he frantically asked the woman.
Emily softly smiled at the boy, "Fight for her." she spoke softly.
Paul nodded his head before darting outside into the pouring rain, his mind consumed with getting his imprint back.

Evelyn gripped her steering wheel as she drove through the rain, trying to get home after closing up the clinic. Her phone went off, causing her to look down at it in the passenger seat to see a text message. She picked up her phone to read the text from her sister asking her to pick up some bread on her way home. Evelyn quickly responded before tossing her phone back onto the passenger seat.
When Evelyn looked up she saw a deer standing in the middle of the road. Her eyes went wide as she swerved, trying not to hit the deer. She straightened the car out before slamming on the brakes. She took a calming breath before she quickly got out of the car, going to check on the deer to make sure it wasn't hurt.
The rain caused her red hair to stick to her face and her clothes to stick to her body as she walked towards the deer. Before she could get very close the deer ran off.
When she turned back around to go to her car she was met with the sight of Paul standing a few feet away. Water ran down his bare chest while his cropped black hair stuck to his head. "Can we talk?" he breathlessly asked her.
Evelyn blew out a breath, "Paul I'm not in the mood to talk, I've had a really bad day."
"Ok, I'll talk, all you have to do is listen," he begged.
Evelyn wordlessly nodded.
"Evie, I'm so sorry," Paul began to take a step forward but stopped when she took a step back. "I wanted to tell you about what we are, I just never found the right time. But when you were taken I was so scared. Scared that I would never get to see you again. Evie, you're my imprint and I could not live with myself if you hated me."
"Your imprint?" she asked the shapeshifter.
Paul smiled softly at the girl, "Yeah, my Imprint."
"You say that as if I know what that is."
"Imprinting is when a shapeshifter finds his or her soulmate. It's like gravity moves. It's not the gravity of earth holding you down, it's her. You become whatever she needs you to be. Whether that's a protector, a lover, or a friend." he explained. Paul took a cautious step forward. Happiness erupted in him when she didn't recoil away from him, "I'll be whatever you need me to be. All I ask is that I get to see you."
Evelyn launched herself into his arms, catching him by surprise. She cups his face, she looks up at Paul through her lashes, only to see him looking at her with nothing but love and affection. "If you ever withhold the truth from me again I will come after your wolf ass with a bat."
Paul let out a laugh, pulling her closer. "I promise."
Evelyn brought his head down to hers, finally connecting their lips. Paul kissed her back quickly, pouring all of his love into the kiss. Evelyn smiled into the kiss, neither of them paying any attention to the rain pelting down around them.
Too soon they pulled away, Evelyn cursing the need for air, she could have kept kissing him forever. Paul smiled down at her, "Does this mean you forgive me?" he asked with a cheeky smirk.
Evelyn rolled her eyes and went to walk away, only for Paul to grab her wrist and tug her back into his embrace. "Okay okay, I'm sorry," he chuckled before bringing her into another sweet kiss.
