Evelyn sat on the counter in Emily's kitchen a few weeks later, waiting for the boys to get back from patrol. "So, how's everything with Paul?" Emily asked.

Evelyn's eyes lit up at the mention of the boy. "It's been good. He's been amazing."

Emily looked up from the oven and sent the redhead a smile. "You're good for him. I've never seen him this happy," she stated.

Evelyn smiled, a blush making its way onto her cheeks. Before she could say another word the front door opened and in came the boys. Sam immediately made his way to Emily and gave her a loving kiss.

Paul came in after him, immediately going towards his imprint. Evelyn smiled as Paul stood between her legs, wrapping his arms around her waist. He smiled down at her, placing a sweet kiss on her lips.

Evelyn smiled up at him as she pulled away. Paul picked her up, earning a squeal from the girl as he carried her over to the table, sitting her on his lap as he sat down. She giggled as he nuzzled his face into her neck, leaving a small kiss there.

"So, Are we ever gonna talk about her seeing dead people?" Embry bluntly asked.

Jared choked on the piece of chicken he was eating while Sam and Emily glared at Embry.

Evelyn took a deep breath, "I guess we should,"

Paul squeezed her waist, "you don't have to if you're uncomfortable. Embry is just being an Idiot."

Evelyn smiled softly at him, "It's okay."

Sam and Emily took a seat at the table with everyone else, giving Evelyn their full attention. "It started when I turned 10. It was just little things at first. I would feel a touch that wasn't there or hear a word when no one was around. My parents thought It was just my imagination. But when I was 14 they died. I saw them at the funeral, standing by their caskets watching Jenna and me. Up until a couple weeks ago, I thought that seeing people who weren't there was my imagination or a way of coping with the loss of loved ones."

"Who was the girl we talked to?" Jacob asked.

" Her name is Sofia Cooper. She was my best friend since 4th grade. She died in a shooting a year ago."

"We're sorry for your loss," Emily said, reaching over to hold Evelyn's hand.

"After my parents died Sofia, Elora, and Jenna were all I had left."

"Who's Elora?" Embry asks, therefore cutting Evelyn off.

"Elora is my twin sister."

"You have a twin? Is she hot?" Embry asks, earning a smack from Emily.

Evelyn giggled, "Yes I have a twin. She currently lives in Oregon with our grandparents. She got into an Art school there and decided to stay."

"But is she hot?" Embry questioned again. Emily turned to him annoyed and started scolding him. Everyone laughed, and with that, the topic was dropped.

The next day, Emily was cooking in the kitchen while Jared, Jacob, and Embry sat in the living room watching The Vampire Diaries. As much as they complained about the accuracy of the show they did enjoy it, not that they would ever admit it.

The calm environment was quickly disturbed as the front door banged open. Evelyn stomped through the door, clearly very angry. "What's wrong?" Jacob asked.

"Is there something wrong with my outfit?" She gestured to her black dress, grey cardigan, and Converse.

"I'm not answering that." Embry quickly answered, turning back to the TV.

"Jared?" she asks expectedly.

"Nope."

Evelyn threw her hands up in exasperation. Emily giggled, "You look great Evie. What's wrong?"

"Some dick thought it would be okay to comment on my clothes and body at the clinic. I mean do men just think that women are dolls for them to admire and play with? Do they think that we are just to sit around and look pretty?" She ranted.

The boys all exchanged a look before they got up and quietly walked out to the front porch. Paul and Sam were just getting back from patrol when the three walked out the front door. "You don't want to go in there," Jared held up a hand, stopping the two boys.

"Why?" Paul asked.

"Evie had a bad encounter at the clinic. Emily's talking to her."

Paul quickly tried to walk into the house to make sure she was okay. "Jacob and Embry pulled him back. "Trust us, She doesn't need your comfort, she needs Emily's."

Paul reluctantly agreed. The five men sitting down on the porch steps.

Back inside, Emily put down the spatula that she was using and led her over to sit on the swing on the back porch. "Being a woman is hard work. Men will always think that they have the right to us and who we are. But women are no longer meant to sit still and look pretty, we're meant to lead. We don't belong to men anymore. The most powerful women are not those who never fail, It's those who rise again even stronger. They stand tall, against anyone who has the nerve to doubt them. Some men are always going to think of women as dolls, but it's up to you whether you are Barbie or Annabelle."

Evelyn let out a quiet laugh. "I'm just so tired. I'm tired of trying to please everyone. I keep getting visions of something bad. But I can't figure out what it means and it's driving me crazy. All I hear is constant whispering, every second of every day. It just, It makes me want to scream."

Emily stood up and led Evelyn down the steps so that they were standing in the small backyard. "So scream,"

Evelyn furrowed her eyebrows, "What?"

Emily positioned herself so that she was standing a couple of steps behind the redhead. "You said you wanted to scream. So scream."

Evelyn turned to face the woods. She took a breath before she let out a piercing scream.

The five boys all jumped when a scream pierced the air. They covered their ears until the screaming stopped. Paul and Sam immediately jumped up and ran around the back of the house, thinking their imprints were in danger.

Evelyn stopped screaming, admittedly she did feel a little better. That was until she took a breath and saw the damage she had done. Trees had collapsed, the windows on their shed were broken, and some dead birds were lying about 30 feet ahead of her. "Oh god, what have I done?"

The five boys rounded the edge of the house in time to see Evelyn drop to her knees, Emily kneeling next to her.

"What happened?" Embry questioned as they reached the two girls. Paul quickly kneeled on the other side of his imprint. Emily nodded to where Evelyn was still staring.

All five boys looked towards the forest, taking in the damage that her scream had done. "Holy shit," Jared breathed.

"Little Evie did that?" Jacob breathed in disbelief.

"I didn't mean to. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." Evelyn profusely apologized.

"It's okay, Eve. As long as you two aren't hurt." Sam reassured the girl.

Tears ran down Evelyn's cheeks as she realized the full extent of her abilities. "I'm a monster"
