The Orphan and the Widow

Spoilers for Black Widow, Infinity War and Endgame!

Timeline- avengers infinity war, and endgame

Brief history- when Nat and Yelena rescued the other widows, they found a training centre, with a bunch of young girls in it, who just finished their first cycle through the red room. They found Sofia (16 at the time, now 17) and Nat had an immediate connection. Nat and Yelena helped Sofia track down her younger sister, Bella (12 at the time, now 13) and set her and that group free too. Nat decided to take care of the girls until they could be adopted, but ended up adopting them herself. She stayed in touch roughly with Steve, and he met the girls a few times, and Tony also met them once because he was the one who set up the adoption and helped everyone get together and get to their now home, in Canada. The adoption was finalized a little over a year ago, before this story takes place.

Disclaimer- I am a novice writer, and I am not very good at portraying how already made characters would act. Also, the timeline might be off, and some things might not make sense with how people act and what they do or say, so my apologies for that.
