Abby has been more quiet than usual and I would be lying if I said it wasn't freaking me out a little. From what I saw it didn't go horrible, it was more or less what I was expecting really. They are both so similar in the way they are reserved and like being spoken to before talking that it would be awkward to get them to begin speaking to each other.

We pull up to my house when the digital clock on the dash reads 2:18 am. It isn't crazy, but I'm surprised Abby was up to driving at this time. Nate offered to have us stay at his place, everyone else was passed out already, but Abby insisted she was fine to drive. Since she didn't have anything to drink and appeared to be telling the truth I believed her and we were in her car less than a few minutes after that.

Meredith opens up the back door to get out.

"Goodnight Meredith, it was nice meeting you!" Abby says with a smile that quickly fades away when my sister fails to answer her. Oh no.

"I had a great time tonight angel, and thank you for your gift, I love it," I tell her, hoping to lift her spirits. She gives me a weak smile that tells me she appreciates the effort, but my compliment did nothing to distract her from the brush off.

"Of course, I'm glad you liked it." She looks down at her lap when she talks which means one of two things. She is embarrassed to receive a compliment or she is upset about Meredith.

I take her face in my hands and press a kiss to her lips, putting all my appreciation for her into it. Everything about her is so soft, from her cheeks under my hands to her lips against mine. Our lips move gently against each other, as the warm air from the vents warms the side of our faces. Her left hand grasps onto my wrist and her right hand fists my jacket across the consul.

A soft whine comes from her as I break the kiss which tugs at the lustful part of me. Not being able to help myself I lean in to brush my lips against her's again, eliciting another involuntary sigh from her and a smile from me.

"You make me feel so young," I sing to lighten the mood. It works, pulling a giggle from her so pure it melts my heart.

"You make me happy Jesse," she replies shyly as her eyes peer up to me through her dark lashes. This time the rest of my body follows and turns to goo along with my heart. I've never felt so soft for someone, but I feel nothing except content with my situation.

I gently brush the tips of our noses together. "You make me happy too angel, don't forget that."

"I won't," she whispers. "I'll talk to you later, alright? I should be getting home."

"Yeah of course." Pecking her one last time we say our goodbyes before I let her go. I still feel a little worried about her, wondering if it is because she was tired, or something was going on in her head.

I'll talk to her when we're both not so tired.

When I step inside my sister is still right near the door, appearing to still be waiting for me.

"You didn't have to wait for me Mere, I was coming in," I tell her.

"Jesse I don't know about Abigail," she blurts out. Well that is more than unexpected.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

She rolls her eyes. "I mean I don't think you and her are a good match. I mean she seems like a nice girl, I'll give her that much, but other than that, what the hell are you doing with her? There is nothing about her that I can pull out that is special about her."

I can't believe what I am hearing come out of my sister's mouth. "Are you serious? You didn't even speak to her. You fucking ignored her just a few minutes ago."
