Frigid Love

Chapter 44

We spent the next half hour in the car. Loki continued to drive and refused to tell me where we were going. He kept my hand in his and rested it on my thigh. At the occasional red light, Loki would look at me with admiring eyes before leaning over and placing a soft kiss on my lips.

"Are we there yet?" I whined while I childishly looked to my boyfriend.

"Five more minutes, hold on." Loki responded as he tried to hold back the smile that was forming on his face.

I huffed and looked out my window. Before I knew it, Loki's car came to a halt and Loki got out of his side before coming over to mine and opening the door for me. I took his hand as he led me onto the sidewalk.

"I will have to teleport us both from here." Loki informed.

I nodded and wrapped my arms around his torso. With a quick sparkle of green magic, we were now standing in the warm sand of a private beach in swimsuits and flip flops.

I was wearing a one piece swimsuit which was entirely black. It had a scoop neck with cami straps and criss-crossed at the very top of my stomach, just below my breasts. The bottom of the suit covered my entire ass, unlike the swimsuits Nat had let me borrow occasionally. Thankfully, Loki understood what I was comfortable in and wouldn't push me into wearing something sexy, even if it was just him and I.

Loki was wearing a pair of black swim shorts that matched my swimsuit I was wearing.

I looked around at the beach in front of me. The sun was setting and reflected off the water. Off to the side of the beach, there was a green blanket spread out in the sand.

I smiled widely and turned to Loki who had let his smile shine through. I turned to face the water and ran towards it, only going in to where it was at about my ankles. Loki grinned and followed me in.

He grabbed me from behind and wrapped his arms around my waist. I squealed as he picked me up and spun me around before dropping me in the water.

I landed on my ass and let out a huff before laughing. I wiped the water from my face and forced a large wave of water towards Loki as I knocked him off his feet. He fell backwards and landed in the cool water with a big splash.

He sat up and wiped the water from his face before shaking his head back and forth like a dog. His wet hair slapped him in the face and sent large droplets of water onto mine.

I laughed and stood up before holding out my hand to help him up. He took my hand, but instead of letting me pull him up, he pulled me down onto him. I crashed into him and he fell onto his back as I fell on top of him.

I laughed and Loki sat up. I repositioned myself to where I was straddling his lap.

"I love you." Loki spoke.

"I love you more." I responded with a smile.

"Not possible."

Loki smirked and passionately placed his lips on mine. I kissed back and rested my hands on the nape of his neck.

After a while of making out, I smiled into the kisses and pulled back before getting off his lap and pulling him to his feet. I led him out of the water and onto the sand where he had a blanket set out.

He dried us of with his magic and changed us into different clothing. I looked down at my outfit. I was wearing one of Loki's t-shirts and a pair of shorts. I smiled to myself and laid back against Loki's chest.

Loki's rested his head on my shoulder as his arms snaked around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

We spent the next few hours like that; just watching the peaceful water and chatting.

It was now pitch black outside. The only light source being the stars and the moon shining deep in the night sky.

I felt my eyelids grow heavy. I yawned and let my head fall back onto Loki's shoulder as I drifted off to sleep.

Loki could tell I fell asleep and slowly turned me in his lap to where he could pick me up bridal style. He tucked one arm under my legs and the other rested around my back as he lifted me up and stood up with me in his arms.

He teleported back to his car and placed me in the passenger seat before getting into the driver's side and starting the car. He drove back to the tower and parked in front of it before getting out and picking me up, teleporting up to my room.

He placed me down on my bed and pulled the blankets over me before using his magic to switch into a pair of pajama pants and removing his shirt. He pulled back the blankets on his side of the bed and laid down beside me, wrapping his arms around me and putting his chest to my back.

He rested his head on the pillow next to mine as I stirred slightly in my sleep and wiggled closer against him. Loki smiled to himself contently before falling asleep with me.
