Jack continued treating Hannah special. He would still walk her home sometimes or giver her a ride. But Hannah wasn't so comfortable about it anymore especially that both of them has each other's own relationships already.

In school one day:

"Hey Jack, I'm joining a competition in Manhattan. Mind lending me your travel bag." Hannah asked Jack.

"Sure thing. How many days will you be away?"

"A week."

"That's quiet long. I'm gonna miss my dear friend." Jack said with a sweet look on his face. "I'm free now, would you like to quickly go home with me to get it?"

"Yes but I need to be back right away as I still have to finish my training." Hannah uttered.

"Not to worry, we'll be quick. I'll walk you back here." Jack murmured.

While on the way to Jack's place, both of them were too hesitant to say anything.

Hannah thought about asking Jack personally why things happened that way. But she was too consumed by her hesitations.

Jack on the other hand was just too relaxed as if nothing was really going on. But in his mind, he was thinking, this girl is too good for me and I don't deserve her. She'll remain as my precious friend. I don't want to lose her forever.

Even though Jack wanted so much to protect Hannah, he was feeling like a little coward afraid of losing her in case things wont go their way. So he chose to remain by her side despite of the reality of his emotions.

While they were walking, he wanted to hold her hand. 'This is the girl whom I really wanted to be with. I'll continue to keep her in my sight even though we're not together. I'll remain to be her friend no matter what.' Those thoughts played in Jack's mind.

They reached Jack's place and Hannah greeted his parents. Jack's mom was glad Hannah came to visit. She wanted to offer her little something but Hannah refused politely as they would just be really quick and needed to return to school right away.

Without a second Jack came out from his room with the bag in his hands. Then they both went back to school.

"Thanks for lending me this."

"Not a problem Hannah. As if this is the first time?"

Both of them laugh but couldn't look straight at each other's eyes. They obviously have special feelings for each other.
