When Our Love Blooms

Jack Joined Military

"Are you done yet?" Jack called Hannah who's in her room. Today they're going to get Jack's stuff at his home and see both their parents too.

"I'm coming." Hannah called back.

Their hometown was just about 45 minutes drive from the city where Hannah was living. Maybe it would take less cause Jack drives his big bike fast.

Hannah came out with in her black denim pants and white shirts. She picked her black leather jacket and walked towards Jack.

"Let's go." She commanded.

Jack can't take his eyes off Hannah as she looked very good at her outfit.

"You look amazing. Did you dress up for my parents?" He teased her.

"Nah, it's just because were riding a bike and not a car?" Sounds like she's teasing him back for only having bike. Both of them laugh.

Jack hugged and kissed Hannah. He can't get enough of her. "I love you baby." He muttered.

"I love you too." Hannah smiled sweetly as she hugged Jack back.  "Come on let's go."

Both of them went off the parking.

"I'm home!" Hannah shouted from the outside of their house. Her mom and dad went out together once they heard her voice and didn't expect to see Jack with her.

Both Hannah and Jack greeted her parents by kissing their hands. A typical Filipino way of elderly respect.

Both Hannah's parents look at them with curiousity so Hannah immediately filled their thoughts up.

"Jack's my boyfriend now. We came to see you before he joins the military tomorrow."

Her parents were speechless. "Wait, you're just starting but he's leaving already?" Mom was a bit sad.

"I'm sorry Auntie for making Hannah wait for about 2 years until I finish my training." Jack was quiet shy and assuring.

"We completely understand that you also have your own future plans Jack. Don't ever dare hurt our dear Hannah in any way. She's so precious to us." Dad was firm.

Hannah was a bit submissive to everyone as she was seated beside Jack on the porch.

"We're not staying long Mom, Dad. We still have to go to his home to meet his family."

"Okay, what else can we do?" Mom said. You two take care!" She added as the both of them started their way out.

"Thanks." Hannah replied.

In Jack's place, Hannah and Jack walked beside each other from the gate towards their house. Diana was the one who spotted them first.

"Look whose here!" She annouced. And everyone in the family went to see whose coming.

His family can't deny that they look great together. With a big smile on his face, Jack proudly held Hannah's hand to show that she's now his girlfriend. "Oh my!" Diana exclaimed in disbelief.

She rushed to Hannah and snutched her away from Jack. "Since when huh?" She asked Hannah loudly. "Was it the night he was drunk?" She continued.

"Just yesterday!" She answered and everybody laughed. "Just yesterday and he's already leaving tomorrow." Hannah added with a bit of sadness on her look.

Jack threw her a guilty look, grabbed her from Diana and hugged her in front of his family. "I'm sorry baby." He told her.

"Hey enough of your cringiness, why don't we all come inside, lunch is ready." Aldo cut the sad spirit in the air.

Everyone happily went inside for lunch.

After lunch, Hannah spent time with Aldo in their backyard while Jack was fixing his stuff in his bedroom.

"Hey, so how did this happen?" Aldo asked her.

"He just suddenly came to my place yesterday and broke out everything. That he's been wanting to come to me for a long time. That Shaun wasn't making it up. That it was true he like me long time ago."

"Can you imagine how crazy he was? He asked me for advice regarding this. So I told him to come to you if that's how he felt. It's not yet too late."

"So this is all your plan, huh, you crazy bastard!" Hannah laughed and hit him on the shoulder. "You useless big brother."

"Why, is it only my fault? You should have told him you liked him too."

"No way!" Hannah resisted.

Both of them were laughing.

After some more chitchat, Jack came out and they both bade farewell to his family.

"You both take good care." Diana shouted as Hannah hopped in the back ride. She waved goodbye while everyone watched them leave.

It was almost dark when Jack and Hannah reached the city. So they went to grab dinner in their favorite place that serves their favorite food; beef soup and garlic chicken. The two of them enjoyed their food so much like when they were still kids.

Exhausted from the whole day trip, Hannah went straight to bed followed by Jack after few minutes.

The next day.

"Isn't it feeling weird that you're already going today?"

"Ahhh, is that the reason why you were quite since morning?"

"Honestly, I didn't like the idea that we're going to separate right away after this."

"I know, baby. I'm so sorry"

"You won't be able to communicate with me until you finished the training. How will I survive?"

"I'll definitely call you when I get the chance. It's not that we're banned of phones the whole time." Jack assured Hannah.

He came closer to her while they were sitting on the sofa after having breakfast Jack prepared.

"I'm going to miss my baby." Jack whispered as he hugged Hannah. Hannah burried her face into Jack's hug and felt the comfort and security she has with him.

She can't control her emotions. She knew she's going to miss him too.

"What will I do if when I miss you and want to be with you? This is not fair." She mumbled.

Jack just hugged her as he was speechless too. He also don't know what to do but one thing for sure was that she will be the first person he'll come back to after the training.

It was time for Jack to leave and Hannah chose not to send him to the headquarters. So Jack left after both of them had settled everything up.
