Spring time had the girls more hyperactive than usual. They had just finished another lesson with Agatha, on their way to the courtyard, looking for trouble. Since Seraphine was forcefully taken from Romania, the castle and it's denizens had become gloomy and depressed. Mainly because the first few weeks after she left, everyone had to endure Alcina's fowl mood. The only ones she treated with a smile, albeit half-heartedly, was her daughters. Everyone else was understanding though, knowing Alcina still struggled with keeping control of her emotions. The girls had been dealing with their mother's absence in their own unique way. Essentially they had become a menace in the castle, relentlessly pranking their family members and staff. They were currently on their way to pick some branches and plants outside to make a scarecrow to scare the maidens.

"No, Dani. Take a bigger branch. That one is too small." Cassandra was busy pulling a fern apart. The youngest growled but obliged.

"Do you think uncle Alistair will ground us if we do this? I don't look forward to spending the warm days grounded in my room." Bela questioned her sisters, busy stuffing one of Karl's jackets they had stolen with dead leaves. Cassandra and Daniela seemed to think twice about pulling off this prank, but they finished it anyway.

"If you give it to me, I'll sneak in and put it in one of the maidens beds." The three girls jumped and spun around, seeing Seraphine standing there with her arms wide open. She was sobbing, relieved to finally see her beloved daughters.

"Mom!" All three of them cried, immediately swarming into Seraphine and wrapping their arms around her for a suffocating hug. Seraphine dropped her cane as they tackled her to the ground, hysterically crying tears of joy.

"Oh, my darlings! I've missed you so very much!" Seraphine cried as they helped her stand up again.

"Mom, where were you?"

"Are you alright?"

"What's wrong with your leg, mom?" They spoke over each other like always.

"I am perfectly fine. Just exhausted. Your great-grandmother kidnapped me. I've been riding here by horse for almost two weeks. As far as my leg, I have no idea, I need this cane to be able to walk." Seraphine smiled warmly when she took the cane from Cassandra.

"How are you my sweet girls?" She shifted her weight against the cane.

"We're fine, mom."

"We just missed you, is all."

"It's been awful without you." Seraphine rubbed her neck, Alcina's mark was nearly completely faded.

"And... and your m-mother?" The longing for her beloved was unbearable at this point. The girls gave her a sad smile, before taking her hand and leading her inside the castle.

"We haven't seen much of her."

"Just during dinner time. We know she hates looking weak in front of us."

"So she just stayed in her room." They spoke softly as they walked through the castle. Seraphine tried not to cry in front of the girls, but the tears were stinging her eyes. The very idea of Alcina suffering alone had her heart aching terribly. The girls seemed to notice this, quickly escorting her to the master bedroom. Seraphine couldn't focus on where they were, even coming coming across Donna, Violet and Angie. They hugged and smiled,  but they could see Seraphine's pain. She greeted maidens briefly and hugged Karl and Alistair. Truth be told, there was no where else she'd rather be than in the arms of her beloved. She just wanted to get to Alcina as soon as possible. Karl gave her a bright smile and handed her a small box, and winked. She returned the smile with a hug.
