Bullets were flying, claws were slashing, screams and roars could be heard from the other end of the preserve. What should be something unusual is just a regular night out for the Beacon Hills pack. They had been fighting off werewolf hunters almost every other night for the past year. Even after defeat of the Anuk-Ite there have been countless groups of hunters trying to get to the pack. They had caught their leader Tamora Monroe 2 months ago, but still the grunts kept on coming.

Every single time they asked how many more were coming. They have yet to receive a straight answer. This group was bigger than usual, by a lot. Normally there would be around 15 hunters, these groups never posed any kind of serious threat. This time however, there were a lot more. Scott estimated around 45 to 50. Some of the hunters were less skilled than usual, almost as if they hadn't completed their training. Still, they were losing, bad. The ten of them moved around each other gracefully, completely in sync. It was like they shared a telepathic bond, but in reality, they just had a lot of experience. They threw themselves at the enemy once more but were held off again. They were just too outnumbered.

Liam thought all hope was lost and they'd be captured by the hunters. That was until he heard a roar. He didn't recognize it, but Scott looked happily surprised, almost as if an old friend had returned. Liam looked around and suddenly saw hunters dropping unconscious. Whose roar it was he didn't care anymore; they had come to save them. The hunters were distracted by the new arrival, so the pack decided this was their chance and charged one final time.

With the help of whoever had come to save them they managed to take out all of the hunters. Once all of them had calmed down Parrish called sheriff Stilinski to let him know. The Sheriff knowing about the supernatural was so useful sometimes. Scott looked at the newcomer, so did Theo. Theo thought he was kind of cute to be honest. He was pretty lanky and had short, blond, wavy hair. As soon as Scott saw that his suspicion of who it was confirmed he smiled with his signature smile, the one Stiles had named the "happy puppy" smile.

"Isaac!" he exclaimed happily and hugged his friend. Isaac's eyes widened in surprise before he hugged his friend back. 'Isaac? As in Isaac Lahey? The kid from fourth grade?' Theo thought but was ripped from his thoughts when Scott yelled for him. Theo walked over and with a questioning look asked: "Isaac Lahey?!" "In the flesh, but who are you?" Isaac responded. Theo feigned shock and said: "How dare you not recognize me; I mean I look exactly the same as I did in fourth grade." "Fourth grade... Theo Raeken?" Isaac wondered and Theo nodded. Isaac looked like he had a whirlwind of questions in his mind, but he just smiled.

Liam walked over to them and introduced himself to Isaac and then stood next to his boyfriend. Theo kissed Liam and he happily kissed back. Alec loudly cleared his throat. Liam and Theo laughed and pulled away. "What, can't handle an adorable couple?" Theo teased him. Alec light-heartedly glared at him and then started walking away. "He's just jealous because he doesn't have a boyfriend himself cough Nolan cough." Liam whispered to Theo. Liam knew Alec could hear what he said, werewolf hearing and all, so he wasn't surprised when he saw Alec point his middle finger at them as he kept on walking. Liam and Theo both laughed but then started to follow him out of the preserve.

Liam saw Derek drive himself and Alec back to the loft they lived in. Scott was still happily chatting with Isaac as they got in Scott's car. Isaac had walked to the preserve, so he got a ride from Scott instead having to walk back to wherever he was staying. Parrish would drive Malia and Kira home as they didn't have cars. Jackson and Ethan drove off in their new Porsche, still bickering about who had taken down more hunters. Finally, he and Theo left the preserve in Theo's truck as well.

Scott had found out Isaac didn't have a place to stay, he had just arrived in Beacon Hills when he heard screams and roars from the preserve. Scott had called his mum and she had agreed to let Isaac stay in the guestroom again. While driving Scott couldn't stop smiling, happy his friend was back, though he had to ask the one question on his mind: "Why are you back? Not that I'm not happy you are, I just thought I'd never see you again." "Originally I did want to leave for good, but once I heard about everything that happened here, I couldn't stay away." Isaac said, but then added in his usual sarcastic tone: "It didn't look like you needed my help though, y'all were great out there. I mean, if the goal was getting captured."

Scott and Isaac got back to the McCall house safe and sound. Scott checked his phone and was happy to see everyone got home safe. Now time for some food and then a good night's sleep. They'd go to the sheriff's station to deal with the hunters tomorrow, but for now: rest.
