Isaac opened his eyes and saw that it was morning already, so he got up to get ready for the search of the preserve. When he came downstairs he saw Scott already eating breakfast, "Good morning." He said and Scott smiled at him, and god that smile was adorable, and then greeted him, "Oh hey dude! There's some bacon and eggs left for you in the kitchen." "Cool, thanks!". Isaac then walked over to the kitchen and grabbed some breakfast before sitting back down at the dining table to eat. Isaac asked Scott if he had thought about who would search where and Scott started talking, "I though you and me could be one of the cave groups, then Jackson and Kira and..." Scott explained his plan. Isaac didn't really listen after Scott said they would search through caves together. He got flustered just thinking about being in a cave, alone with Scott... Isaac shook that thought out of his head, they had something more important to focus on.

"... Now any questions on the groups?" Scott asked after he had explained his plans. Isaac started blushing when he heard Mason whisper 'Scisaac in a cave' to Corey when Scott had said they would search caves together. Corey started giggling and they had an entire discussion about what was going to happen in the cave. After the explanation everyone divided into their assigned groups and headed off towards the locations they'd search. Isaac was still flustered from Corey and Mason's conversation earlier and Scott noticed it, "Everything okay dude?" "Yeah I'm fine, why?" "You just seem a little preoccupied I guess." "Just thinking about all this I guess, what do we do if we find it?" "We casually walk out and then call the others. That mean that it is indeed the ."

They finally arrived at their first cave and went inside. They flashed their eyes so they could see better in the dark. Isaac probably stared at Scott's deep, powerful red irises longer than he should have. God Isaac was down bad for this guy, like down really fucking bad. They continued down into the cave until they hit a dead end; this cave was empty, so they left to go to the next one. Isaac looked into the cave and felt chills down his spine. This one was way creepier than the last one. Scott went in, seemingly unbothered by the cave. Isaac followed and stayed close by.

This cave had a ton of side paths, to not get lost they hugged the left wall. Every single path led to a dead end and Isaac still felt unnerved. Scott however seemed completely fine. Isaac had to ask how it was possibly he didn't feel the eeriness in the air, Scott had answered confidently, "Oh I do, it's just, after the Anuk-ite, after I've literally had to fight my worst fears, I don't get scared or creeped out as much. I still really don't like it though." Isaac admired Scott even more now, he was so brave.

Scott really, really didn't like this cave, but he was very much enjoying how close Isaac stayed. Isaac had even jumped onto him a few times because they heard a sudden noise. Scott thought it was adorable. Isaac would probably think it was embarrassing later, but Scott knew Isaac was brave and could handle himself well when needed. They had been this cave for an hour and a half already and the deeper they went the creepier it got, which meant the closer to Scott Isaac got. By the time they could finally see the end of the main tunnel Isaac was less than an inch away from him. Scott didn't mind at all. They got back to the main tunnel after yet another dead end and went into the final side tunnel of the left side. This one was long and went deep. Scott could smell Isaacs's anxiety clearly now. It also probably didn't help this tunnel was smaller than the others, it caused Isaacs's claustrophobia to act up.

The tunnel kept going and Isaacs's anxiety only got worse. Scott, wanting to comfort Isaac but not knowing how to, grabbed Isaac's hand rubbed the back of it with his thumb. Isaac was surprised by this and started blushing. Scott smiled at him and continued walking down the cave. Isaac really did feel more comfortable and followed Scott, still staying very close though. They found yet another dead end and headed back. When Scott noticed the scent of Isaac's anxiety diminishing, he started to let go of Isaac's hand, but Isaac grabbed it tighter. Scott chuckled but continued holding his hand. They continued walking through the rest of the cave, still holding hands. The other side of the cave had only held dead ends as well, another useless cave. Well, not completely useless Scott thought, he got to hold Isaac's hand for a while and that made it all worth it, even if the others hadn't found anything either.

When they resurfaced the rest of the pack was waiting for them. A soon as Scott and Isaac noticed them, they pulled their hands apart and started blushing. Isaac could once again hear Mason and Corey giggling and whispering when they noticed the werewolves' red faces. Isaac couldn't hear clearly but heard things like "Something definetly happened in there." and "I bet they kissed". The second one was followed by a comment from Mason Isaac didn't hear, but Corey's reaction combined with Mason's fondness of innuendos made clear what type of joke it was.
