Chapter 1: Baby wolf's got a crush

"...We spoke with the hunters the day after, and they told us they were the last ones. Yes, they were speaking the truth, we listened to their heartbeats and none of them faltered even slightly. It's been pretty quiet ever since." Scott finished catching Brett up with what happened. After he and Lori got hit by the car he went to Switzerland for medical assistance and to get away from constant reminders of his sister's death. He had returned the day before and was now being caught up on the past year-and-a-half.

Theo and Liam had picked him up from the airport. Liam was worried it'd be awkward since Brett used to bully him and on top of that Liam blamed himself for what happened to him and Lori. It hadn't been awkward at all though, they talked as if none of that ever happened. Brett seemed really happy for them when Liam had told him that he and Theo were dating, though Liam thought he smelled something else on him. It had disappeared almost as soon as it appeared, Brett was always good at concealing his scent. Liam wondered what it was, it smelt like sadness or disappointment, but Liam had no idea why Brett would be sad or disappointed. They then brought him to a motel, Liam said he'd ask his parents if Brett could stay in the guest room the next day.

Brett looked almost overwhelmed with everything that happened since he left. He was processing everything while they ate lunch. After lunch they decided to all hang out with the pack and some of its allies. They decided to go bowling after some resistance from Scott. When Stiles got out his Jeep he immediately walked over to his boyfriend, Derek grabbed him and stole quick kiss. "Okay so am I crazy or did Derek just actually kiss Stiles?" Brett questioned. Derek chuckled and then said: "You're not crazy-" "That's still up for debate." Stiles interrupted. Derek glared at Stiles but the continued: "We got together 8 months ago." They then went into the bowling alley, where they met with the rest of the pack.

Still outside Brett turned to Liam and Theo: "That kid, Alex? Alec?, is there a reason he was annoyed? Does he like have a crush on one of them?" Liam laughed but then answered: "Alec, and no, but he lives with Derek and let's just say whenever Stiles spends the night, he wishes he didn't have werewolf hearing." Theo added in a snarky tone: "That, and he's jealous because he wants that with Nolan." Liam laughed harder than he should've but then dragged them inside. Brett was surprised but while going through the door to the alley had to ask: "Is anyone in this pack straight?" "Just me, now next time don't keep me waiting or I'll scream at you until you can't think straight anymore." Lydia threatened half-jokingly.

The place renovated since the last time Scott was there, it had more of a retro-vibe going on now. There were bright neon-lights everywhere, it was lit up less. It looked a lot better. They rented 3 lanes and after Alec basically begged Scott to let him be at the same lane as Nolan, Scott agreed. Alec happily walked over to Nolan and sat down next to him. The entire time Theo and Liam were whispering about how close to Nolan Alec was sitting. Alec heard them and blushed but didn't move. After all three groups had finished a game they decided to have the best 2 of each lane go against each other. This meant it was Isaac, Kira, Brett, Lydia, Nolan, and Corey against each other. Alec was enthusiastically cheering on Nolan, which was constantly making him blush.

Corey ended up winning and jokingly gloated all through dinner. He only stopped when Mason threw a napkin at him when he once again brought it up. Corey faked betrayal and said: "Did y'all see that?! My boyfriend just attacked me!" "Oh, shut up, drama queen." Mason responded. "Just because I'm a queen doesn't mean I'm dramatic." Corey joked as he flipped his non-existent long hair. They all laughed. Alec was constantly not-so-subtly glancing at Nolan and every time Nolan was smiling, Alec started smiling too. Stiles noticed this, nudged Scott with his elbow and whispered: "Aww, look baby wolf has a crush." Scott chuckled "That's adorable, but dude don't act like you were any better before you and Derek got together." "Rude, but probably true." Stiles replied and giggled.

After dinner they all went back to their respective homes, but as soon as Alec saw Stiles get in Derek's car he turned around and walked over to Nolan. "Hey, what's up?" Nolan questioned as soon as he saw Alec walk over to him. "Can I please stay at yours tonight, last night was exhausting and I really do not want to deal with an entire night of that." Alec said while pointing over his shoulder to Derek and Stiles kissing. Nolan snorted with laughter and said: "I'll call my mom and ask if it's okay, I'm sure it's fine though." He then walked away to make the call. Derek asked if Alec was coming. "Gimme a sec!" he replied. Derek just smiled and continued making out with Stiles. Nolan walked back over to Alec and said it was okay for Alec to stay at Nolan's for the night. Alec grinned happily and walked over to Derek to tell him he was going with Nolan instead. Stiles chuckled and said: "Have fun! But not too much!" "Fuck you!" Alec said with a glare that quickly turned into a sheepish grin and walked away, but not before Stiles could yell: "That's Derek's job!"
