When Scott and Isaac got back from bowling and dinner with the pack they started watching TV. About an hour later Melissa came home from the hospital. "Oh, hey boys, how was bowling?" she asked when she saw them. "Terrible" "Great" Scott and Isaac said at the same time, made Isaac and Melissa laugh. "That's just cuz you lost." Isaac teased. Scott glared at Isaac, though there was no venom in the glare. "How are things with Malia?" Melissa asked. "Still awkward, she's definitely still mad at me." "I have noticed that since I got here, what happened between you two?" Isaac questioned. "Oh we dated a bit over a year, but I broke up with her like 3 weeks before you got here." "Oh, okay."
"I'm going to take a shower and get ready; Chris is taking me out for dinner." Melissa said and then headed upstairs. Isaac turned to Scott "Is it weird that your mom and your Allison's dad are dating now?" "Dude, it was so weird at first. When they first told me, I was shocked. I had not expected it at a-." Scott started saying but was interrupted by a laugh from Isaac. "What?" "It's just very funny that you had no idea, you always were oblivious. I knew something was gonna happen between those two before I left, and my suspicions were confirmed when I asked Argent about it while in France. Once he started he literally couldn't shut up about her. It was kinda awkward, but it was nice seeing him like that. I'm happy for him, he could use a break." "Yeah I'm happy for them too. Like I said it was weird at first, but once I saw how happy they made each other it stopped being weird. It honestly feels normal now, I'm not even surprised when I see him sitting at the dining table when I wake up anymore." At that point Melissa came down to leave for her date. "Wow, Melissa, you look great! Have fun!" "Thank you Isaac, you have fun too! Bye!" "Bye mom!" Scott yelled after her.
They watched tv a bit longer and then decided to go to bed. Scott sat on his phone for a bit while waiting for Isaac to finish his shower Then Isaac popped through Scott's door, only wearing a towel and hair still dripping. Scott admired how good Isaac looked right now. Scott could see his slight abs in the dim light of the moon shining through Scott's window. The light accentuated his cheekbones and jawline perfectly. His hair , still wet from his shower, was drooping over his face, and framing his adorable blue eyes perfectly. "Scott!" Isaac yelled, which shook Scott from his thoughts. "Sorry, yeah?" "You okay?" "Yeah, just tired." "Okay, anyway bathroom's all yours. Just make sure that if you fall asleep it's in your bed and not in the shower, not sure Melissa would be too happy with that water bill." Isaac said and, before Scott could throw a pillow at him, ducked behind the door to walk to his room.
Scott showered and got ready for bed, went to his room, and laid down in his bed. He fell asleep within seconds. Isaac was asleep at this point too, but his sleep was much less comfortable. He was having another horrible nightmare. This particular one was about the time he came home with an F for chemistry. His dad had seen it and gotten furious. He'd thrown a vase at him, which caused shards to cut through his skin. His father had then ripped his favourite book to shreds and thrown the now pageless cover at him. After that Isaac was once again locked in the freezer. Now usually this is where Isaac would wake up, sweating heavily, but this time the nightmare continued. Isaac was still locked in the dark freezer when he suddenly saw something move in the corner of his eye. He looked up but didn't see anything. He look around to find any clue to what it could've been, but there was nothing. After a while he saw something else, it looked like someone running around far away. Isaac then realised they were running towards him.
When he looked closer he realised who it was "A-Allison?". She kept running towards him and when she was relatively close she suddenly stopped. Isaac was about to say something when she suddenly grabbed her bow and an arrow. "You killed me, now it's my turn." Allison said angrily. "No! No, I didn't mean to! It wasn't my fault. I-" "That's a lie and you know it. You killed me. You may not have wielded the sword, but you caused my death. You're a werewolf, you should be able to protect yourself! But no, I had to do it for you! You were weak! You still are!" Allison yelled at him. "I didn't mean to! I-I'm sorry!" "Oh you're sorry?! Well that makes it all better, thank you!" Allison said sarcastically and then continued: "You killed me Isaac! I loved you, I thought you loved me too, but no! Instead, you kill me!" "I did love you! I didn't mean to I swear!" "That doesn't change anything! Now, it's time for me to finally get justice." She then raised her bow, aimed at Isaac, pulled back the string, and fired the arrow. Isaac couldn't get away and saw the arrow flying at him, but right before it hit him he woke up.
Scott was woken up by Isaac screaming, he ran out of his room and into Isaac's. He grabbed Isaac in a tight hug and tried to calm him down. "It's okay, calm down. It was just a dream, you're okay. I'm here, calm down Iz. You're fine, it was all just a bad dream." Scott soothed. It took a while for Isaac to finally calm down. When he finally did he and Scott fell back onto the bed. "Scott?" Isaac asked, voice still shaky. "Yeah?" Scott replied in the softest tone possible. "I'm sor-" Isaac started saying but was interrupted by Scott: "You don't have to apologize; you did nothing wrong. Just try and go back to sleep. I'll stay here so you know you're safe." Isaac protested, but Scott shushed him. After a few more minutes Isaac fell asleep again, now that Scott was sure Isaac would be okay for now he also fell asleep, still hugging Isaac.
That morning Isaac woke up and felt 2 strong arms around him. He looked to his side and saw Scott hugging him, still asleep. Suddenly all the memories of last night flooded back. All of a sudden Isaac felt really bad. He tried to weave his way out of Scott's arms, but Scott subconsciously tightened them around him. Isaac tried harder, but that woke Scott up. "What are you doing?" Scott murmured, still half asleep. "I'm trying to get out of bed, but you are keeping me in some sort of arm jail." Scott chuckled but then let go of Isaac. "Sorry." "It's fine, I'll go make us some breakfast. Be downstairs in 15." "Okay" Isaac then left the room and went into the kitchen. His thoughts were racing: 'Scott definitely hates me now; I woke him up just because of some stupid nightmare. I was so happy when Argent told me he had come out as bi. Which was one of the reasons I came back to Beacon Hills, finally I had a chance with him, the perfect guy. Scott McCall, the first true alpha in a millennium. The Scott with the mesmerizing brown eyes and his adorably goofy smile and his perfect muscles. He truly was the perfect guy, but now I've ruined it all.'
Isaac was pulled from his thoughts by Scott coming down the stairs. Isaac greeted him and put the pancakes on the dining table. While they ate Scott noticed Isaac was being very quiet. "You okay?" "Scott- I'm sorry for last night, you were tired, and I ruined your sleep, all because I'm so pathetic." "Hey! Stop that. It's okay, you did nothing wrong, and you're not pathetic. Just because you're not okay all the time doesn't mean you're pathetic, it means you're human. Especially after everything you went through." "I know, it's just-" "Hey, I'd choose being tired over you feeling horrible any day -or night. Besides, I actually slept really well afterwards." Scott comforted Isaac. When he had said the last two sentences he grabbed Isaac's forearm and caressed it with his thumb. This made Isaac's heart go crazy. "Thank you-" Isaac started saying but was suddenly interrupted by an incredibly loud, shrill squawk. Both boys fell to the floor hands pressed firmly against their ears in a desperate effort to quieten the sound. When it finally stopped Isaac looked at Scott, silently wondering if he was okay. Scott, figuring Isaac was worried about him, nodded to confirm he was okay. "What was that?"
