I tapped my fingers against the thighs as I walked towards a small bakery sat in the corner of the street. It looked cozy and I was kind of hungry, so I decided it would be cool to try it out. I've been walking around Maltby for a couple of hours after I stormed away from Mat. I didn't stray too far away from home as I didn't really know my way around, but I felt better from this morning. The weather was nice, wasn't too cold but still, you needed to have a jacket in tow.

I stepped into the bakery and went to the glass, admiring all the different options. I felt basic and just decided to get a simple blueberry muffin to-go, along with a bottle of iced tea. As I was getting my wallet out to pay, I stopped and thought about getting something for Mat. Motherfucker is probably too idiotic to cook or order something for himself, I'll just grab him a croissant.

"And just one croissant, please," I stopped the cashier and pointed towards the sweets in the display.

They nodded and handed me my items in a small paper bag, along with my drink. I payed and thanked them, making my way out of the bakery and back towards our home. It was getting pretty late, around six at night. By the time I got home, it would surely reach seven.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I fumbled with the apartment keys, struggling to open the door because of the bakery bag I was holding. As I set it down, I heard loud chatter and heavy bass coming from inside of the apartment. I froze and thought for a bit, what was going on in there? I swung the door open and my jaw dropped at the sight inside.

The entire apartment was trashed with half-empty beer bottles and random booze everywhere. There were half-eaten pizza boxes thrown about. Flashing lights strung across the entire living room and kitchen as obnoxious party music blasted. The apartment was filled with random people as they all danced together, a few sucking each other faces. I got even more enraged when I saw Mat and some random girl making out on the couch, the place where I sleep!

I stomped in, setting the bakery bag on the kitchen counter before I turned the lights on, an angry look on my face. The same four boys from before were all here too, having fun and looking careless as hell. As soon as I turned the lights on, everyone went quiet and their eyes turn towards me. I was enraged, and the music was only making me angrier.

"Hey, what the fuck are you doing?" some random girl yelled out at me, obviously drunk from the way she slurred her words.

"Nino, come on! Join in on the fun!" Mat shouted at me from the couch, finally turning away from the whore on his lap.

"Everyone out!" I yelled as a headache was threatening to start.

I shut off the giant speaker with the music and the flashing lights as everyone filed out of the room. I saw Mat standing in the middle of the living room with a frown on his face, grabbing people's arms and trying to make them stay. His attempt was fruitless as I threatened everyone who wasn't outside yet.

My heart sunk as I analyzed the mess that was created. There were giant stains on the couch and my pillow and blanket were throw across the floor. The small coffee table in the living room had a small crack in one of the corner, and beer was spilt all over it. The floor was sticky and covered in random wrappers and alcohol bottles. It reeked in the apartment and on top of that, a headache finally started.

"Dude," I whispered at Mat, my word faltering slightly as I realized how much effort it would take to clean this up.

University started tomorrow and I couldn't afford to stay up all night and clean this up. I knew Mat wouldn't even want to help me.

"We were having fun!" Mat shouted angrily, drunk as he had an almost empty bottle of vodka clung in his left hand.

"Are you gonna fucking clean all this shit up?" I stared at him, gesturing towards everything.
