Sydney's P.O.V.

After a boring and lonesome twenty hour flight, I finally make it back home. The airport in Cape Town is not so busy. I check my phone and it's almost nine p.m.

I unlock my phone and call Andre. I take a seat as the call starts to dial. "Hello?" He answers. It doesn't sound like he's been sleeping so that's a good thing. "Hey baby. Could you please come and get me? I'm at the airport."

Andre chuckles. "Baby. I'm already outside. But wait for me, I'll come and get you." I smile and end the call. I remain seated before I spot Andre walking towards me. I stand up.

When he's close enough, I run and jump onto him, my legs wrapping around his waist. "I've missed you so much." I say into his neck. "I've missed you more Sydney."

He puts me down and takes my bags. He's wearing a button up and a pair of jeans. He looks handsome. I take a bag from one of his hands and replace it with my hand.

Outside the airport, his Maserati is parked across two parking lots. "How did you know to come and get me?" I ask.

"Keith called me and told me you'd land right about this time. He also told me he'll fly Thando tomorrow since she left the house." He answers. I nod, my smile slightly faded.

"So, what were you up to in Seattle?" Andre asks as he puts my bags into the car. "Nothing much. Stayed in the house most of the time." Andre turns his head to look at me. "Oh, okay. Well, doesn't that make the trip kind of unreasonable?" I shrug. "I mean, not really. Seeing as I learnt a lot of new information I probably wouldn't have discovered if I didn't go."

Andre shuts the door of the boot. He crosses his arms. "Did he, touch you?" There he goes. I shake my head. Andre smiles. He opens my door for me, letting me into his Furiosa.

He gets into the car and turns the key in the ignition. "Let's go home."

When I get home, Karen and Jason are no where to be seen. "They're trying to fix their marital issues through date night." Andre informs me uninterestingly. He leads the way upstairs. Having to climb up all of these stairs makes me miss Keith's indoor elevator.

"What have you been up to since I've been away?" I ask Andre as he places my bags in his room. "Work. Work. And, missing you and thinking about you." Andre wraps his arms around my waist. Suddenly, I become conscious about the weight I know I've gained.

I smile and look around his room. A silver ring catches my eye. "Who does that belong to?" Andre quickly lets me go and puts in his drawer. "No one." I furrow my eyebrows. "Then why is it in your room?"

Andre shrugs. "Hey. Why don't I prepare you a hot bubble bath and a massage for afterwards? How's that?" I smile. I could definitely use a massage. Especially from him. I nod. "I would love that."

Andre smiles and walks into his bathroom.

Andre's P.O.V.

I run the hot tap and put three full lids of bubble bath into the bath. I don't use it anyway. I bite the inside of my lip. She saw the ring. I won't lie, I almost jumped out of my own skin for a minute.

I have to come clean before next week. I don't mind my parents. But Sydney, finding out later from someone else will surely break her. What do I even say to her?

Sydney joins me in the bathroom. "What are you thinking about?" I smile at her. I turn the tap off. "There's something I have to tell you." It's now or never. "You might want to sit down for this."

Sydney slowly takes a seat on the toilet seat. I sit myself down on the edge of the tub. My heart beat increases. "Uhhh..." I blow out an exhale and play with my fingers.

"That ring you saw in my bedroom, it's uh, it's mine."

Sydney's P.O.V.

My eyes widen with shock. Andre got married?! "I got married to...Elizabeth."

"Come again?" My neck cranes forward. "I married Elizabeth. Earlier today." Andre says. I can hear how he's forcing his voice to actually produce sound out of his mouth.

I frown. "For what reason?" Andre explains to me that him and Elizabeth wanted to get revenge for their aborted child. How did I not know that Elizabeth and Andre had a child? I don't know. Maybe because you never asked.

He continues to tell me about an agreement where Swan gets sixty percent of the business and he gets forty percent plus the business' assets.

"I was gone for three days Andre. Three days."

Andre doesn't make eye contact with me. "We can still be together. Elizabeth and I didn't marry each other out of love."

I shake my head. I feel betrayed. Backstabbed. "Were you ever going to tell me about the real story behind Elizabeth's resentment towards your family?"

"Well, it's not something I like to talk about Sydney. Imagine what it feels like to have to tell people about an aborted child you didn't get to make a choice about."

My mind thinks about Keith. I shouldn't have come here. At least not to this. I hold my tears back. "I know I have a lot things going on in my life Sydney. And I'm grateful that you've beared with me until now. But I'm asking you to bear with me one more time."

I look at Andre who's now begging me with glossy eyes. "I did this so I could have a life of my own. A life with you that doesn't involve my parents making choices for me." A tear trickles down my cheek as I look away from him.

Andre sighs. "If there's anyone and anything I can fight for, it's you. But I won't hold you back if you decide to leave me."

I look back at Andre and he's no longer looking at me. Tears are falling from his eyes onto the tiles of the bathroom floor. I stand up and walk towards him. I lift his head and cup his face with my hands. I kneel down in front of him. "Andre, I will never leave you."

My fairytale may have been a little twisted, but I wouldn't change my fate for anything if I get to love Andre Miller.
