After a fews hours in the armoured vehicle, they made one final left before stopping. Fury got out first, closely followed by Ana and then Maria. All three of them walked towards the bunker. Guards were posted outside the entrance; carrying high-tech weapons on their shoulder.

Fury stepped out ahead of the women and put his face up the scanner and revealed his mauled eye. The door beeped and slid open. Collectively, they entered and the doors locked behind them. They travelled down a dimly lit hallway and got into a cage elevator.

"This place is great, really love the dirty aesthetic you guys got going on." Ana said sarcastically as she looked around.

Fury smiled from behind her and waited for the chime. When it echoed through the small space Ana took a step closer to the door.

The doors opened and a futuristic scene was painted in front of the girl. Computers lined every wall in sight and lab technicians bustled around.

"You were saying?" Fury laughed and walked past the frozen girl.

Maria put her hand on Ana's shoulder, "C'mon. The team is this way."

They walked to the glass lab where Ana could already see Peter and Bruce. She sprinted through the door and embraced Peter. He was startled at first but them allowed her to hug him. After a while Ana let him go and he turned to face her.

"Oh my God, you're okay. I haven't seen you since..." Ana trailed off.

Peter smiled and patted himself down, "I'm great."

"Did they-" Ana was cut off by Tony, Steve and Natasha walking in the room.

Tony's eyes lingered on Ana for a second before he walked over to the computer to pull himself away from the situation.

"Good, you're here." Steve said to the girl abruptly.

Ana looked at Nick, "Not by choice."

Fury shook his head and sighed, annoyed. Ana laughed at his frustration. They were getting on great so far.

Peter spoke from the floor, "Whose this guy?"

Ana looked at Arnold licking Peter's face, "This is Arnold."

"You got a dog?" Natasha said.

"Yes." Ana spoke bluntly.

Natasha was about to say something snarky to her sister but Maria gave her a questioning look and the redhead changed her mind.

Nat cleared her throat, "Well, I'm glad you weren't alone."

Ana gave her a small smile, "Thanks."

Fury clapped his hands, "Well, this little family reunion has been great but can we talk about the world-ending threat now?"

Nat rolled her eyes and everyone gave their attention to the man who was standing at the front of the crowd.

"Great, now on the way here I caught Ana up on the situation. The rest is up to you now. Captain?" Fury left the room followed by Hill who gave Nat a smile on her way.

Steve took his place at the centre of the room and cleared his throat. Tony rolled his eyes.

"Okay, since Ana hasn't been in a combat situation a a few years she should run some drills to freshen her memory a bit. Wanda can help you with your powers and Bucky or Nat can do hand to hand combat skills." Steve announced.

Ana nodded, "Sounds good to me."

"I'll show Ana to her room." Peter said.

The pair walked out of the room, Arnold trotting alongside. They walked down a few hallways, making small talk the whole way.

When they reached the room, Ana slung her duffle on the bed and took out a pair of sweatpants to change her jeans for and a sports bra. She went into the bathroom to change whilst Peter continued to play with the dog.

"Oh, you were gonna say something before you got cut off by the team. What was it?" Peter spoke loudly so Ana could hear him through the door.

Ana re-entered the bedroom and smiled at Arnold enjoying all the attention.

"I was just going to ask, did they hurt you?" Ana said not looking at the boy.

Peter nodded slowly and a wave of guilt washed over the Russian. This was her fault.

"What powers did they give you?" she asked quietly.

"They didn't. That part of the video was fake. The whole plan of selling me to the highest bidder was a lie to get you back. They knew that one of the Avengers would try anything to get me back." he looked down.

Ana laughed, "Well they were right I guess."

Peter stood up, "Ana, I'm so sorry. I never would have wanted for them to take you instead of me. To be honest that day i had no idea what was going on I was so out of it. And the party! I never meant to make you fell uncomfortable, I just thought you felt the same. But I realise now that it was wrong and-"

"Peter, it's okay. Really. I'm so glad they didn't leave anything permanent on you. I would have never forgiven myself." Ana grabbed the boy by the shoulders.

He embraced her in a soft hug, "Friends?"

Ana smiled into his shoulder, "Friends."
