a shadow in trouble

After yesterday pinkie felt a lot better, she would finally smile for real and go out more when not being happy, ponies where of course shocked at first bit started seeing pinkie in a diffrent light, they saw her as more mature and even if she still liked to joke around it was received better now that pinkie began to open up, she didn't tell them her past but she let everypony see the mare beneath the mask, as she finally didn't have to hide, what she was most happy about though was her family took up residence near sweat apple acres, something about gem deposits and new opratunities, but now her family lived a few minutes away from her, she could go and visit them anytime she wanted and she did frequently, to check up on them and be a family again...an actual one...one without fear, or pain or ridicule, she loved her stallion he did the impossible and she was greatfull she finally got to throw Azul his welcome to ponyville party and while not everypony came due to thier bias, some still where curious enough to learn about the oddity and put aside their prejudice, it was grand and then a letter came for twilight and pinkie...knowing the rest of the girls and celestia they still didn't want to get on azul's bad side for what they did at the party, as the letter stated it was emergency trouble that needed the elements of harmony, and to azuls suprise and joy his talks with discord got shorter and shorter until he found out he had hit it off with fluttershy and shown her the error in what she did then it was letters with long talks telling of how he was doing and other things...discord has come a long way...with no madness clouding his mind he could be what he wanted and cause chaos...chaos will be chaos...but it can be reasoned with...and thankfully after a weak Azul started to see discord more and more...he was actually here now floating next to him and discord flashed his disdain for horrid misuse of the elements.

(Discord) ," Pah, that Sunbutt, again using the elements as a show of force, honestly, when will she learn.... anyway, Father... it has been going great, fluttershy and I are finally a couple, and it is all thanks to you..."he smiled as he picked up and hugged his father.

(Azul) ," Oh Son...I I'm proud of you, but it looks like our mares are going to be in a bit of trouble, looks like I have to go along with them...I still haven't forgave Celestia for what she did to twilight...but she is needed...apparently ", he then wished discord well as the spirit disappeared to go do something, what that was was up to the readers imagination as he turned to twilight, pinkie and Gilda.

(Pinkie) ," Well, duty calls, it's time to go to canterlot. Hopefully, azzy isn't too angry seeing her again."

(Twilight) ," can you really blame him, I mean, he did almost loose me because of arrogance and stupidity, I would be just as mad and upset as he was if my friends almost made me loose him".

(Gilda) ," I don't think this is something I should miss ill tag along."

And with a kiss they sat off and went to the train station catching the next available one to canterlot, minutes pass as the locomotive barreled along the tracks as the golden city as its sometimes called came into view, canterlot was approaching as the two mares grew nervous of what their stallion would do when he saw celestia, but they had a job to do, and despite what Celestia had called them for, they would try and resolve the problem with words and understanding, rather than immediately use the elements, the train pulled into the station as they all disembarked and trotted to the castle, coming to the huge double doors of the throne room the guards gulped at Azul, still very skittish from his display as they walked in and saw the rest...and Azul was perfectly calm as they came in front of Celestia standing next to the other elements.

Celestia: ," I'm glad you are all here....and you as well twilight...but the time to act is now, the crystal empire has returned, it was banished long ago by its tyrannical ruler king sombra, you must go and stop him" she explained, but as she did, that name struck something familiar in Azul as he began to remember...little sombra...what has happened to him?!, and then it was revealed before him by celestia's memory.
