OUTSIDE HOTEL

CENTURY HOTEL

A Religious Man stands outside the hotel with a handful of pamphlets. He addresses a Person while the Impala drives up.

"Hi. Good evening, brother. Is your soul rapture-ready?" He Says

The Person ignores him.

"Thank you, sir. God bless." Religious Man Says

The Religious Man addresses Two more while the Impala stops in front of the hotel.

"Good evening, folks. Is your soul rapture-ready? Because what I'd like to do is just show you exactly what God's love is for you." Religious Man Says

The Two people ignore him.

"Okay, God bless." Religious Man Says

Dean gets out of the Impala and heads for the hotel. The Religious Man addresses him.

"Excuse me, friend, but have you taken time out to think about God's plan for you?" Religious Man Says

"Too friggin' much, pal." Dean Says

Dean enters the hotel. The Religious Man watches him go.

HOTEL ROOM

Dean and Castiel are on the phone.

"We're talking about the Colt, right? I mean, as in the Colt?" Dean Says

"We are." Castiel Says

"Well, that doesn't make any sense. I mean, why would the demons keep a gun around that, uh, kills demons?" Dean Says

"What? What? Did—I didn't—I didn't get that." Castiel Says

Dean laughs.

"You know, it's kind of funny. Talking to a messenger of God on a cellphone. It's, you know, like watching a Hell's Angel ride a moped." Dean Says

"This isn't funny, Dean. The voice says I'm almost out of minutes." Castiel Says

"Okay, all right. I'm—I'm telling you, Cas, the mooks have melted down the gun by now." Dean Says

"Well, I hear differently. And if it's true and if you are still set on the insane task of killing the devil, this is how we do it." Castiel Says

"Okay. Where do we start?" Dean Says

"Where are you now?" Castiel Says

"Kansas City." Dean Says

Dean leans across the bed to grab his room key off the bedside table.

"Century Hotel, room 113." Dean Says

"I'll be there immediately." Castiel Says

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. No, no, come on, man. I just drove like sixteen hours straight, okay? I'm human. And there's stuff I got to do." Dean Says

"What stuff?" Castiel Asks

"Eat, for example. In this case, sleep. I just need like four hours once in a while, okay?" Dean Says

"Yes." Castiel Says

"Okay, so, you can pop in tomorrow morning." Dean Says

"Yes. I'll just—" Castiel Says

Dean hangs up. Castiel hears a dial tone.

"—wait here, then." Castiel Says As he stands at the side of the road.
