I sing a song to the birds of the night,
You hear it every morning,
I would die to hear it too,
The moon reflects light on the lake,
Enough for me to sing a song to the night sky,
You sleep ever so peacefully,
Not aware of the shadows lurking in the night,
You live a simple life one with no worries,
The sun waves at you every morning,
And the stars dance while you sleep,
I sing a song to the moon each night,
Hoping that maybe one day the stars will dance to the rhythm,
I play with all the worries in the world,
Sweet sweet melancholy,
With every clueless night you sleep.
