Knothole: day
[Shadow is walking around in the great forest thinking about the recent events with Robotnik and the obedience spell. He almost failed his friends again. He started to think back to sonic and wondered how he was doing. Thinking about his promise he made.]
Flashback sonic: Shadow promise me
Echo: promise me promise me
[Shadow falls to his knees in grief. He started to dought himself that he couldn’t protect his friends. He looked up to see what appears to be a robotized hedgehog but it’s not sonic and it doesn’t look like his adoptive father chuck. So who is he? Wasting no time, Shadow charged towards the Robo hedgehog. The robot turned around and saw shadow running towards him.
He got out his arm cannon and start shooting at him. Shadow effort dodged the shots, used his chaos spears at the robot but he dodged it as easily. Shot after shot. Kick after kick. Power after power. After all of that and not, one is a bit tired. They would’ve kept going if there was a women’s voice.
??: Jules
[they both turned to see an organic purplish-blue hedgehog with yellow hair running toward them and standing in front of the Robo hedgehog.]
Shadow:[glares] You’re defending a robotized hedgehog?
??: [ glares back] This robotized hedgehog is my husband, Jules and I’m Bernadette.
Jules: I’ve regained my free will not too long ago.
[Shadow wasn’t sure he should believe them but the look in their eyes tells him that there sincere]
Shadow: if you tell me the reason you’re here, I’ll conceder to stop the attack.
[jules and Bernadette looked at each other and nodded then looked back at shadow]
Jules: Were looking for our son, Sonic.
[Shadow stared at them with wide eyes. He then remembered that his adoptive father chuck have mention them]
Shadow: So your Sonic’s parents?
Bernadette:[surprised] You know sonic?
Shadow: Yes. I was raised with him by chuck.
Jules: Charles or chuck as you call him is my brother. How is he?
Shadow:[saden] I’m sorry to say this but he’s robotized.
[they both gasped]
Julies: [saden shock] no.
Berni:[desperite] What about sonic? Do you know where he is?
Shadow: I do but he too is robotized but not only that he’s the leader of Robotnik’s army.
[they both gasped again but stronger.]
Berni:[crying while hugging jules] no
Jules:[hugs back in confert] [in thought] Robotnik will pay for this.
Shadow: If I may Mr and ms hedgehog.
[they both raise their heads to look at shadow]
Shadow: I do have a way for sonic to have his free will but it’s only for a short while if you’re up for it.
[bernadett and Jules looked at each other and nodded. They turn back to shadow]
Jules: Please take us to him. We might be able to help.
Shadow:[nod] okay follow me
[shadow led sonic’s parents into Robotropolis, formerly monopolies. They were shocked by what
become of their old home.]
Bernadett: This place is a trash heap.
Jules: so where’s sonic?
Shadow: most likely to lead an army of swatt-bots. If we find the bots we’ll find sonic.
[soon enough there was an army of swatt-bots being led by you know who. Sonic’s parents are devastated.]
Bernadette:[teary eyes] oh my baby
Jules[turns to shadow]: so what’s your plan?
Shadow: I’m going to destroy the swat-bots and chain sonic up. I need to get to ring lake.
Chuck’s power ring can restore sonic’s will but like I said it’s only for a short while.[turns to Bernadette and Jules] Can you two keep an eye on him while hiding?
Jules: [nods] yes
[shaow looked forward with determination and came running to the swat-bots and destroyed them with his chaos spear. Sonic attacked shadow but keeps dodging. Bernadett and Jules are surprised by how strong and powerful shadow is. Shadow runs around sonic to make a dust cloud. He grabs nearby chains and chains sonic up. Sonic struggled against the chain to get out but to no avail. Shadow gestured to sonic’s parents that it was safe. Bernadett and Jules ran
down to where sonic and shadow are.]
Shadow: alright ill be right back to get the ring.
[Shadow runs off Jules and Bernadett looks down at sonic with sad loving eyes]
Bernadett:[teary eyes] sonic; baby[reaches her hand to sonic]
[sonic squirm harder. Bernadett pulls her hand back. Jules kneels down in front of sonic and looked into sonic’s eyes. Sonic stops squirming little by little until he completely stops. Jules puts his hand on sonic’s metal cheek and sonic leans his head on Jules’s hand. Jules pressed his head on sonic’s. Just then shadow came back with the ring. He’s surprised to see sonic so calm even without the ring.]
Shadow:[confued] you manage to calm him down?
Jules:[turns to shadow] Yah. I don’t know how but I did.
Shadow:[nod] I got the power ring.
[shadow walks to sonic and place the ring over sonic’s wrist. Sonic’s eyes turned green.]
Sonic:sh-shadow
Shadow:[hugs sonic with happy tears] Sonic! Are you okay?
Sonic: Ya I’m alright.
[shadow untied sonic and sonic stood up.
Shadow: sonic there are some people who wanted to see you.
[shadow gasturs to bernadett and jules. Sonic saw them and in shock]
Sonic: M-mom, d-dad
[Jules and bernadett couldn’t help themselves and hugged sonic tight and sonic hugged back.
Jules and bernadett shed happy tears. All three pulled away.]
Sonic: I missed you so much.
bernadett/Jules: we’ve missed you too sonic
Sonic: where have you been all this time?
[Jules and bernadett explained that they fought in the war, but Jules got hurt real bad. Jules got saved by the robotizer but at the cost of his free will. It told a while but Jules’s will got restored and they have been looking for sonic ever since. Sonic was shocked and hugged Jules.]
Sonic:[sadly] oh dad.
Jules:[hugs back] It’s okay sonic. I’m alright, I’m just glad that you’re alright.
[sonic let go of his dad and turn to shadow and hugged him and shadow hugged back.]
Shadow: Are you sure your alright?
Sonic: Yes, I’m alright.[lets go of the hug] So how have you been?
[shadow told sonic about the past missions and that he almost failed to save sally and bunny last time. Shadow blames himself that he failed his promise.]
Sonic: shadow, you did not fail. You tried your best and you still manage to save them,that’s all that matters.
Shadow: how’s chuck
Sonic: I’ve seen him a couple of times. He’s at the worker mines but he’s doing okay.
Shadow: have Robotnik planned anything?
Sonic: yes. He’s said that he’s going to lead you into a trap of some kind. He’s… he’s [holds his head in pain]
Shadow:[conserne] Sonic what’s wrong?
Sonic: shadow, my time’s up
Shadow[fighting tears] ill be back for you soon.
Sonic:[turn to his parents] Go to knothole you’ll be safe there.
Jules:[nods] we will sonic
Bernadett:[teary eyes]sonic?
Sonic: ugh go.[closes his eyes and open them again but they are red] *growl*
Bernadett:[tears falling] sonic no!
Sonic:[prepares to fire with his cannon arm] must obey master Robotnik. The capture of freedom fighters, priority one.
Bernadett:Sonic no! Fight it!
Shadow:[grabs one of her arms] Bernadett, he’s turned back!
Jules:[grabs her other arm] Berni we have to go.
[shadow chaos speared the ground to make a dust cloud and escape. On the way back to knothole Bernadett cried on Jules’s chest while he comfort her.]
Shadow:I’m sorry Mr. and ms hedgehog. But the good news is that sally is trying to find a way to
reverse the robotized, so someday we will save sonic and everyone else.
Jules: Thank you shadow for taking care of sonic.
[shadow nodded and the way back home has been silent]
