You grew up in an homophobic household and never thought you would fall for a girl. But then Kate entered your life, and you immediately fell for her(mainly after getting to know her), You never wanted to tell her though.

Afraid.

Shadyside wasn't necessarily homophobic, take Deena as an example, but you didn't tell your parents, they would kick you out for sure. They weren't religious, just homophobic. 

"Y/N, Are you even listening?"

You blinked, still holding your textbooks and seeing Kate. "Oh, sorry Kate, i zoned out for a second, You chuckle. "That's fine y/n, i do that all the time, She smiled. You loved that she was so understanding every time. 

"I'm lucky to have you as a best friend." 

"I'm lucky to have you too Y/n." 

She sighed, then turned to you. "Can you hangout after school today?" You bit your lower lip."Yeah, i think so. My parents really like you." They didn't like you having any boys over, but your female friends they were fine with.

Kind of ironic for you.

You nearly dropped your textbooks when a locker had been slammed loudly by you. "Geesh, they should slam a locker quieter next time, You comment. "Y/N, this is school is filled with annoying kids, still not used to it? She asked.

"I am, but it is still irritating of course."

Kate rolled her eyes, and you simply laughed. She always made you laugh even if i was unintentional. "I have this class without you, so cya Y/N!"

"Cya!"

You sighed, hoping to at least find your next class which had Deena in it, thankfully. This school was so huge, you got lost every single time, for the first 3 weeks of school. 

You had to tell Kate about your feelings, it had to be today, you didn't know why, but had a feeling it should be today.

You exited he school beside Simon and Deena, the only ones who knew about your feelings. "Y/n, if you don't confess today, she may never know how you feel and find someone else, Deena said. "I know, I am going to look for her, You told your friends.

You slowly walked away from them, hoping to find her, she usually was around and easy o spot. BUT sometimes she was hard to locate. Then you went a bit further and your eyes widened, dropping your bag which had your books in it.

You have to let her go, You thought to yourself, grabbing your bag and running away in tears.
