Agatha and Ursa were sitting side by side on the beach, staring at the stars just like on the day their relationship started. Having adjusted to the routine of Alexandra Keys' home, they sat in comfortable silence for several minutes, until Ursa started to get at something she'd been avoiding since they left the orphanage.

"Did you know I also grew up at St. Evans home for wayward children? They raised me until I was about 8, when I realized I was a girl, the nuns wouldn't let me live as one, so I ran away," she said without turning away from the sky.

"Huh. So we were growing up so close to one another. But if you didn't leave to live as yourself, we might have never met, since the orphanage was separated between boys and girls." Agatha contemplated the little turns that can change fate.

"Yeah... Listen, be honest with me. Do you regret meeting me? If I hadn't stolen those books and taken you to the police's archives, you could still be living like a normal person, you wouldn't have had to run away. Do you wish you could feel safer?"Ursa still didn't turn towards Agatha, reading an affirmative answer on her face before she spoke might be too much for the young lover's heart to bear.

Agatha was silent for a moment, and then spoke with sharp seriousness, "Ursa, get in front of me so I can look you in the eyes, please."

Ursa did as her girlfriend asked, anticipating the worst.

"Look at my chair, it's the only thing that lets me move even a little bit on my own, and I could only make it because you helped me start to learn about sorcery. I could never live a "normal" life, and I'm happy with the one I have. I'm happy we went to the archives, I'm happy to live in the Refuge, and I'm very, very happy to have met Lawrence, Lilith, Alexandra and most of all, more than anything else, I'm happy to know and to love you, Ursa. And I'll love you truly and deeply as long as you love me back."

Ursa was crying at this point, sobs getting in the way of her speech, so she just hugged her girlfriend tightly, burying her head into her shoulder, after some time, she whispered "you're the best thing that ever happened to me."

"we happened to each other," Agatha whispered back.

And they kissed, and allwas well in the moment, and the moment is all one can truly have.
