Chapter 17

Josh POV

Me and Rachel were having a good time when I heard a loud thump. Rachel flinched then stopped moving. Then her grip released and panic came over me. Her body felt lifeless.

I lifted up the covers to see her unresponsive. "Rachel! .....Rachel!" I was so scared. I grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her. "Rachel wake up!" I hollered. I stopped for a moment then I heard her groan. "Rachel?....Rachel, baby, can you hear me? " I said touching her face. She started to move and I let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Jo...Josh?"

"Yes babe I'm right here. "

Rachel POV

My eyes were blurry for a moment,and I could barely see josh's face. I felt a sharp pain in my head like I got hit with a rock.

"Rachel baby your ok." Josh said then kissed me. That made me feel much better, but my head still hurt. I propped myself up on my elbows and squinted a little. "What happened?" I groaned.

"Babe I think you might have hit your head on the wall." Josh said holding back a smile. Then I heard some noises coming from outside the room. It sounded like something terrible happened. Josh turned his head toward the door.

"Ah...hold on just a second." He said with a bit of concern in his voice.  He got up from the bed, put on his pants, and hurried out the door.

David POV

Me and Jessica were chilling on the couch drinking soda when she started to act funny. Then next thing I knew she was passed out on the floor. "Jessica!" I hollered. I panicked. "Hey!...Hey we need some help over here! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!" I screamed. As I stared back down at Jessica the lights came on and it slightly blinded me. Every one made a crowd around us and I could hear a few people in the back calling the police. I was in so much panic.

I glanced behind me at the door and turning to Jessica I picked her up and yelled, "Hey some one get the door." I rushed out the door as fast as I could with her in my arms and went to my car.

I eased up to the door and opened it before I had the chance to drop her. I layed her down on the back seat when I hear Josh calling out to me.

Josh POV

I ran out the bed room to see a crowd had formed. I squished my way through and I realized that Jessica was on the floor with David hovering over her.

I dashed back into the bedroom to see Rachel sitting on the edge of the bed. "Babe we gotta go!" I screamed. "Come on get your clothes on we have to take Jessica to the hospital!"

"What! What happened?!"

"I don't know but come on!" We ran out the room and outside to David's car. He was standing there trying to lay Jessica down on the back seat when I called

out to him. "David!" I yelled.

Me and Rachel got in the car and after getting situated in our seats and took off. "What happened?" I asked David.

"I don't know she just passed out." He said sounding terrified.

The rest of the ride was silent until we got to the hospital, where Jessica was carted off somewhere none of us knew of.

We sat anxiously in the waiting room for a long time. Well David was anxious but me and Rachel were mostly concerned. "Hey man you ok?" I asked David. He was leaned forward in his chair rapidly shaking his leg and constantly running his hand throw his hair.

"Yeah I'm totally fine,I mean after all my girlfriend's not in the hospital!" He said gradually raising his voice.

"Ok man I'm sorry."

Then an older couple walked up to the front desk just outside the waiting room yelling, "Where's my baby, what did you do to her." They yelled at the nurse behind the counter. After more yelling they finally sit down. Then another half hour later a nurse walks in the waiting room and says, " Jessica Richardson." David eagerly stands from his chair, and so does the couple.

David's POV

"Who are you?" Says the man.

"Who are you? " I counter argued. Who ever this man was needed to back off. 

"I'm her father and who might you be?" He said.

I gasped, but not enough for anyone to notice. Are you fucking serious, I thought to myself. This made me so mad.

"Her boyfriend." I said turning away from him walking up to the nurse.

"Right this way sir." The lady said motioning her hand for me to follow her. I quickly followed behind her trying to get away from Jessica's dad as fast as possible. We walked into a room where I saw her laying in a bed. "Jessica baby, you ok?" I whispered. She just moaned. Then her eyes slowly opened and a smile came across her face. I smiled to. I bent down to kiss her.

Jessica's dad POV

What? I thought. She has a boyfriend and didn't tell me. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be mad at her for not telling me or him for not taking care of her.

They turned the corner and I followed them. I found the room they were in and when I walked in I saw him kissing her and my heart skipped a beat.

Jessica's POV

I kissed David. Then I heard my dad say my name from the doorway. I jolted and me and David stopped kissing. I turned to my dad. He seemed to be surprisingly calm.

"Jessica? Pumpkin are you feeling better?" My dad said softly pushing David out the way to get to me.

"Umm.....yeah...I'm feeling much better, dad." I said surprised he wasn't mad.

"Sir?" The nurse said breaking her silence. "Your dauter will be just fine she just had a little to much alcohol than her body could handle."

"Wait what!" We all said in unison. That was alcohol, I thought to myself, I thought it was kinda bitter.

"You were drinking?" My dad interrogated.

"Hey I'm just as shocked as you are." I reassured him.

I was of course yelled at, but at the end of the day, what surprised me the most was that my dad wasn't mad at me for not telling him I had a boyfriend. Anyways the doctor said I had to stay a night just to make sure I was ok, but to be honest I felt perfectly fine.

After seeing everyone, and talking for awhile they said their goodbyes and left except my parents and David.

"Honey," my mom said "your father and I are gonna leave in a little bit ok."

"My I'll be fine y'all can go." I said. I really only wanted them to leave so I could be alone with David.

"Ok fine we'll go, but take care of my daughter ok?" My dad said to David.

They said goodbye and me and David were finally alone.

"I love you, you know that? " David said getting in the bed to lay next to me.

"I love you to." I told him. He kissed my forehead and smiled. He reached out and hugged my waist and before I knew it I fell asleep in his arms slowly but surely.
