After lunch Sardior was at Charlotte Hardy's class along with his classmates, Terri, Kyle, Tamara, Chronepsis, Astilabor, Stan, Eric, Kenny, Sabrina, Paige, and Hazel. Charlotte was teaching the class history.
"Okay class today I'm going to teach you the history of Tarot," said Charlotte.
"What's Tarot?" asked Sabrina.
"Tarot is a divination deck that foresees the future. It has 78 traditional cards that go by to each suit. The Major Arcana Cards are considered the Trump Cards. It has 22 cards. The Minor Arcana has 56 cards. There the Wands suit represents inspiration and energy. The Cups suit represents emotional and feelings. The Swords suit represents logic and intellect. And finally, the Pentacles suit represents money and finance. There are also Minor Arcana Court Cards that have 16 court cards which represent four in each suit. There are the Pages, Knights, Queens, and Kings. The court cards represent people and energies as well. They have been around since the 14th century and tarot readers still use Tarot cards to this day." said Charlotte.
"Cool. Wait a minute I have an interesting question, Have Tarot ever been used for playing card games," asked Hazel.
"Yes. It has been used for playing card games in Italy called Tarrochi which means trumps. And it's very common in Italy and European countries that people still play Tarrochi.
"I heard that tarot cards are evil. Is that true?" asked Paige.
"Tarot is neutral. This brings me to the subject that back in the 14th century the Roman Catholic Church condemns tarot because it's was considered the Devil's device of evil.
"But can tarot be used for evil purposes such as hexing and cursing?
"You've been watching way too much Craft movies," said Eric.
"Well, some people used tarot cards for evil purposes such as black magic, hexing, and curses to harm people with evil intention. It depends how you use it," said Charlotte.
"Mrs. Hardy I have a question. How many tarot decks exist today," asked Sardior.
"As of today there are more than a thousand tarot decks and people are still making new tarot decks," said Charlotte.
"Aye Carumba. I didn't know there were that many decks out," said Stan.
"Neither do I. Mrs. Hardy where do tarot readers gets these decks from," asked Kenny.
"Tarot reader get their tarot decks at the local bookstore." said
"I want a tarot deck," said Kenny.
"Me too," said Stan.
"Hey, Sardior. Didn't you say that you do tarot reading?" asked Eric.
"Yes, I do. Terri hook me up with tarot," said Sardior smiling.
"Sardior did my reading and it was accurate," said Terri.
"He even did my tarot reading about PsychicCon and it was crazy accurate," said Kyle.
"Sardior I want a tarot reading, please. I need to know if the Degrassi Basketball Team will win the playoffs," said Eric.
"I'll see what I can do," said Sardior.
"Now class settles down there will be tarot reading later and this class is over for now. For homework I want you all to re-cap what we discussed in class in a one-page essay," said Charlotte as the whole class was dismissed.
