Barry

I'm usually better at coming with lies on the spot, but today, I wasn't doing so well.

Percy just caught me off guard when he assumed that Iris and I were a couple. I think I made it too obvious by looking at the floor. He probably caught on to the "I like Iris but I'm being friend-zoned" act.

And come on, Barry. It's protocol? That's such bogus. I work on the crime scene, not on active cases. I knew Iris could care less, but Percy, on the other hand, was a lot more inquisitive than I anticipated.

Although, I didn't tell him a full lie. I really was going to a robbery in-progress. As the Flash, not as, well, me.

I ran back to S.T.A.R. Labs to grab my suit, but I really had to get a move on. I was already late by the mini interrogation I just experienced.

As soon as I was in my suit and on the run, I heard Cisco talk to me through my ear. "What's up, my guy? Now, hurry up, these guys probably could've went out for lunch and you'd still be running." And he takes a bite out of something, what of, I couldn't tell. He chewed obnoxiously through the comms and I rolled my eyes for no one to see.

"Which street?" I ask, watching as everything around me was in slow-mo. Kids playing catch, cars driving by, people on the sidewalk.

"10th and Washington," Caitlin interferes, ignoring Cisco's angry voice in the background.

"Thank God, Caitlin. I didn't know how much I could stand him eating in my ear."

"Hey! I heard that," Cisco's muffled voice shouts in the background and I just laugh. "I know. That's why I said it."

After a quick two seconds of silence, Caitlin speaks again. "You overshot three streets over. You're on 13th now."

"Oh, crap," I turn around and head back. I take a sharp turn and immediately see the broken windows and voices coming from the store down the street.

I race into the jewelry store and straight away, the masked assailants must've heard me run in and turn to face me, aiming their guns.

I swear, when are these people going to learn that guns aren't helpful when you're fighting a speedster?

An older man who worked at the store stood at the cashier with his hands above his head, one of the men had his gun pointed straight at the his chest.

I go for him first. I always let civilians get out of harms way if anything might happen. I drop him off outside. "Stay here," I say before rushing back inside. He's too stunned to say anything.

One of the men pulled the trigger at me as soon as I stepped back inside and the rest of them follow. I grin, ducking and grabbing the bullets mid-air. When I finally skid to a stop, I let the bullets drop and watch as the horror on their faces when they realize the mistake they started.

I start speeding again, I punch one guy in the nose, hearing a crack and he flies backwards. I'm now able to control the force of my hits whenever I'm going really fast. If I hit too hard, I could kill them. But hit too little, they won't feel a thing.

For the other one, I swipe my feet under his legs, making him fall on his back. I quickly punch the last guy in the stomach and suddenly, they're all on the floor, groaning.

At that moment, I hear police sirens come near here, the red, white, and blue lights swirled in the reflection of the glass. And I rush away, leaving the rest to them.

Compared to the other things I've been doing this week, this was a vacation. I could probably head back to the science event if I wanted too, but Percy is probably still with Iris. And he'll get suspicious again if I come back too early.
