Blood sample

"Well, well, well. Shizu-chan, I haven't seen you in a while, have I." Izaya says from behind. "Not today flea, I've got a kid with me. I don't have time for your shit today. And I told you to stop calling me that horrible nickname!" Shizuo growls. Izaya finally notices the kid standing behind shizuo, but instead of seeing a little girl shuddering in fear, she actually looks pretty happy. 'I wonder how she's not scared of the brute in front of me' Izaya thinks to himself. "Aww, did shizu-chan get a girl that likes him and get stuck with a kid?" Izaya mocks. Izaya knew that his mocking would push shizuos buttons. Izaya doesn't care if there's a kid watching, he's bored. It's time for a game of cat and mouse. Surprisingly, shizuo keeps his cool, he can't get mad in front of a little kid. Even if that kid is not effected by his temper. "I said not today flea." Shizuo struggles to stay calm. Even the sight of izaya makes him want to throw a truck. Izaya is surprised of shizuo. He's never like this. Izaya tries not to let it show but it slips for a second. He hopes shizuo didn't see his emotions. "What, are you scared that your girlfriend is going to be scared of you?" Izaya taunts. Shizuo just walks away with Ariel not far behind. 'Well, that's surprising. Shizuo never backs down from a fight. He never fails to surprise me.' Izaya thinks to himself while skipping away.

"Izaya is so funny!" Ariel says breaking the silence between the two. "How do you find the creep funny." Shizuo mutters pissed to his limit. He grabbed out his lighter and cigarets and lit one. "Ahh..." Shizuo tries to smother his moan of contentment. "Smoking is bad for you." Ariel points out. "I know. It keeps me calm though." Shizuo says still pissed about what happened between him and izaya. "Why didn't we take a cab to shinras? It would have taken a shorter amount if time, and you wouldn't have run into izaya". Ariel giggles. Shizuo would have face palmed if he didn't have a cigaret in his mouth. "Now you tell me..." Shizuo mutters. "Sorry, I didn't know it would have taken this long to get to your friends house." Ariel says still smiling.
------time skip to shinras place---------

Thump, thump, thump. Shizuo knocks on the door. Feeling better and more relaxed then before. "Who is it?" Shinra opens the door. He smiles and then notices the little girl. His face is grim. "Shizuo, I know you have anger issues, but kid napping a little girl is too far!" Shinra says, face still grim. "He didn't kidnap me Shinra." Ariel says. Shinra glances up at shizuo, eye brows raised, smile back on his face. "Oh, come on on guys." Shinra says. He's all smiles but shizuo knows that the look on his eyes says 'I need answers'. "What is your name?" Shinra asks. "My name is Ariel, I'm 9, I'm extremely smart, I have no parents for reasons I will tell you in time, and I know a lot about shizuo heiwajima and izaya orihara." Ariel says counting down the things on her fingers. Shinra seems surprised. "Wow. You do know a lot." Shinra says cheerfully. "Oi, shizuo, long time no see. Celty is on a job right now, do you need anything?" Shinra asks nervously. "We'll talk about that later." Shizuo mutters pissed off that Shinra thinks he would kidnap a little girl. "Had a run in with Izaya huh? Please tell me you didn't fight in front of a little girl!!" Shinra asks nervously. "No. In fact he walked away without any damage done! Not a single street sign or lamppost Were destroyed on our long walk here!" Ariel exclaims cheerfully. "Wait, your telling me that you walked away from a fight with Izaya!?!?" Shinra asks excitedly. Shinra had that loon in his eye, he wanted a blood sample from shizuo to see what gives him his monster strength. Shizuo sighs. "Fine, take a blood sample. I'm tired of you asking." " Really?!?!?" Shinra asks overjoyed. "Yes. But on one condition, you find out who she belongs too." Shizuo grumbles. Ariel is shocked. "I BELONG TO NOBODY!!!!" Ariel screams nervously. "Huh?? What do you mean??" Shinra asks gently. "Like I said, you will know in time." Ariel tries to say more calmly. She fails. Horribly. Her voice and body are shaking and she looks like she seen a ghost. "Ariel. Are you alright?" Shinra asks, a concerned look shot her way. "Yes. How would I not be?" Ariel smiles. Trying to let no emotions through. She has a story that will be explained in time. And little did shizuo and izaya know, they know this little girl more than they thought. "Anyway, back to the blood samples." Ariel says purposely changing the subject. " Are you sure you want to do it shizuo?" Shinra asks glad that he won the silent battle. "Yes. Just get it over with." Shizuo grumbles. At that moment, Celty walked through the door. "Celty! Your back! How was that job?" Shinra asks, glad to have his girlfriend back. "It was boring. The job was cancelled and I only knew last minute. I still got payed though." Celty types on her phone. "Aren't you the headless rider? With the headless horse that can change into a motorcycle?!?!" Ariel asks astonished. "Y-yes." Celty types. "How about we get you some hot chocolate and cookies, or do you prefer cake?" Shinra asks silently asking Celty to do so. He needs to talk to shizuo. "Yes come on..." Celty types. "Ariel." The little girl finishes the sentence. The two head off to the kitchen. Shinra silently thanks Celty for this. "Now. Shizuo. Tell me the story." Shinra asks: Shizuo tells the story from when he found Ariel, to when Izaya bothered them. After he finished, Shinra say there thinking hard. "Did you notice that she looks like you and has Izayas attitude?" Shinra says smirking. "Uggggh, you can be do perverted at times!!!" Shizuo grumbles. It's true though. Ariel has beautiful long blonde hair, chocolate brown eyes, and Izayas smirk and attitude, yet she has a golden heart. "Well, let's get to that blood test." Shinra says with that glint back in his eyes. When the blood test was finished, they worked out plans in who stayed with Ariel, even though she kept arguing saying that she was fine on the streets. Finally, it was settled that shinra and Celty kept her during the night, and during the day, shizuo had her.

"Bye shizuo!!" Ariel says running up to him and hugging him. Surprisingly, he hugs back. Shizuo is startled by the affection and the want of responsibility of the little girl, but shrugs it off. 'Im too tired today.' Shizuo thinks to himself. The trip home was uneventful, but guess who was waiting on his door step when he got home. Izaya fucking orihara. 'This day is so fucked up' shizuo thought to himself.
