THE NEW HOUSE

Jake's POV

"So y/n" I said as we tossed a ball with some lacrosse sticks we found out side

"Sooooo what?" she asked dragging out the O in so

"Sorry about my family" I say looking down

She threw the ball at my feet and walked up to me and said "What do you mean? Today was so much fun they didn't do anything wrong."

"Why are you apologizing??" She questioned and I look into her eyes they were actually really pretty.

"Because you literally just watched my dad hang from a chandelier"

"Like 2 hours ago"

She smiled at me and said

"I don't care if he was or not I had a great time hanging out with y'all."

"Ok well you know a lot about my family how about yours what are they like"

"well I have three older brother"she said picking up the ball again and throwing it back to me

"The oldest one is fresh out of college his name is Liam"

"Then there is Colby and Cam who are twin and are freshman in college."

"My dad has to travel for work constantly so I don't see him a lot."

"What about your mom"'I asked because she didn't mention her

"My mom died a years ago in a car accident." 

I was in shock this girl that I met was so nice and happy

I was surprised to hear that her mom wasn't here anymore

I gave her a hug and she just giggled and gave me one back

It was the only thing I could think of at that moment

She let go smiled and asked

"Are you going to school on Monday???"

"No I don't start for another couple of week" I tell her

"ok well we can hang out tomorrow and Monday after school then because I still have to go"

"Great, sounds good to me."

"Well I got to go get dinner but see you tomorrow morning"

She ran and grabbed her skateboard before running back giving me a side hug and taking off down the driveway

As I go back inside the one and only Charlie Baker was at the end of the steps

"So what's your girlfriends name"

he asked me looking out the window to see if he could still see her from here

"Her name is y/n and she is not my girlfriend
We just met today"

"well y'all were acting like you have known each other for ever and are dating"

"No we weren't"
