Early the next morning you're awoken by a loud knocking at your door. Confused, you get up to answer it. Nobody mentioned anything about coming over, so you weren't exactly expecting anyone. Sliding the door open, you almost immediately slam it shut upon seeing what was waiting on the other side.

The other Hashira. All of them.

"Good morning, (Y/N)!" Mitsuri greets you, smiling brightly. She has a small box in her hands and you notice that the others are holding things as well. "May we come in?"

"Why are you all here?" You question, ignoring her request. The only time you ever see the Hashira all gathered is when Oyakata-sama calls a meeting.

"We're here to celebrate your new home!" Rengoku answers, much too cheerful for this early. "We also brought food!"

Sighing, you squeeze your eyes shut for a moment before stepping aside to let them in. They all pile into your home and you can't help but to instantly regret your decision. Though, you also know they wouldn't have left until you agreed.

"I must say, you look quite beautiful for having just woke up." Tengen's eyes scan over your body. It's then that you realize you're only wearing a yukata, which is partially opened revealing quite a bit of your chest. You burn a bright red as you rush out of the room to get dressed, returning shortly in a kimono. You were so surprised with everyone's visit that you completely forgot what you were wearing.

"We should probably eat before the food gets cold." Shinobu speaks up, breaking the silence. She could tell you were quite uncomfortable with what just happened and decided to draw everyone's attention to something else.

Everyone agrees with her quickly as they dig into the multiple food options. There's quite a bit too choose from- tempura, rice, tonkatsu, gyoza, onigiri, yakitori, takuan, unagi, and senbei along with assorted vegetables. Dessert wise there's dango, kasutera, and ohagis. Of course all of this is served with tea that Mitsuri volunteered to prepare.

All of the food smells wonderful and your annoyance at their sudden visitation disappears as your mouth begins watering. The last time you saw this much food was when you went to lunch with Rengoku, most of it being his. After seeing how much he can eat you start to wonder if all of this food will even be enough.

You dig in as well, choosing to eat as quickly as possible before the food disappears. It's obvious everyone has their favorites- Shinobu sticking mostly with vegetables and Sanemi eating ohagi's instead of the actual food. You on the other hand eat a little bit of everything, wanting to try as much as possible. A lot of this stuff you've never had before so you allow yourself to binge.

"How do you like your estate so far?" Shinobu questions, setting down her chopsticks.

"It's quite nice." You hum, looking around you. "Though, I will admit it's a bit lonely."

"You could always move in with my wives and I." Tengen laughs, smiling brightly as he stares at you. You can't help but to notice that Rengoku's smile falters slightly at his words, the man obviously bothered. "It would never be lonely there, especially at night when we all sleep together."

"I'm not marrying you, Tengen. We've already been over this." You groan, setting your own chopsticks down before leaning back on your hands.

"You asked her to marry you?" Giyu speaks up as he pauses his eating, slightly surprised.

"When?" Mitsuri seems excited, her eyes glistening. She's always been a sucker for love, even if it's unrequited.

"A few days ago when I went to her for help." Tengen answers, crossing his arms over his chest. "Shinobu refused to treat my injuries and sent me to her instead."

"Oh my." Shinibu's eyes widen slightly. "I would've treated you if I had known of your intentions towards (Y/N)."

"You should've treated him anyways." You grumble, sending the girl a glare. She simply smiles, tilting her head to the side innocently.

"Why did you even ask her in the first place?" Sanemi furrows his brows, a frown on his face. He knew Tengen was rather dramatic but asking someone you barely know to marry you is a bit much.

"Why wouldn't I?" Tengen motions towards you as he continues to speak. "She's strong, beautiful, and her heart is quite pure. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a wife."

"That doesn't mean you can just ask her like that!" Sanemi snaps, clearly annoyed. It's a little surprising since he usually shows disinterest at anything that involves you.

"I agree." Rengoku nods his head, a serious look on his face. "You should always properly court a woman before asking for her hand in marriage. I at least asked her on a date first, yet I do not plan on asking her to marry me any time soon."

"You went on a date?" Giyu speaks up once again, still very confused. He had no idea the other Hashira were this interested in you.

"It wasn't a date." You reply tiredly. This entire conversation was beginning to suck the energy out of you. "It was just lunch to get to know each other as fellow Hashira." Rengoku frowns though he doesn't say anything. He considered it a date and the fact that you didn't was a bit disheartening.

"This is certainly an entertaining conversation." Mitsuri hums in amusement. "I think it's quite sweet that you both like her. I'm starting to wonder if anyone else does as well." Her eyes scan the room, looking for any hints.

"It doesn't matter." You stand up, collecting the empty cups of tea. "I have no interest in romance and I don't plan on changing my mind. I'm honored that you both see me as worthy of your love but I suggest you give up." You exit the room, leaving them to speak amongst each other.

"Do you really think she won't change her mind?" Rengoku stares in the direction you went, saddened by your bold rejection.

"I'm not sure." Shinobu sighs, a small frown on her face. "She feels very strongly about all forms of relationships. I can only hope that she opens up as time goes on. She must feel lonely, don't you think?"

"I know I would feel lonely if I were her." Mitsuri answers.

"Certainly we can change her mind." Tengen declares, a determined look on his face. "It's impossible for someone to go through life without friends at the very least. I'm sure that even she doubts her choice to remain alone."

"Why do you people care so much? She's been here less than a month and you're all obsessing over her." Sanemi speaks up, feeling irritated. Who the hell falls for someone they don't even know? Sure, you're beautiful and obviously strong but that isn't enough to make someone fall in love. At least Rengoku tried to get to know you first unlike Tengen. And who knows how the others feel about you.

"Honestly? I'm not sure why. Something about her just draws me in." Tengen frowns, confused over his own feelings. Rengoku nods in agreement, also unsure of things.

Why are they so interested in you?

This question remains in their minds as they clean up, making sure the place is spotless before taking their leave. It's still rather early in the day by the time they leave so you simply decide to spend the rest of the day reading. Maybe tomorrow you'll go shopping for some items for the estate.
