Genshin Impact Headcannons!

"Dont worry, I'm here!" (Amber)

I'm not joking when I say it took me so long to think of an idea for this chapter in November.

Now it's fucking December (also this is tall/chubby reader. for the people like me, hello, how is your evening going? I still care if you aren't tall and chubby please ily-)

"Cmon Amber, where the hell are you.."

You were standing there, on the coldest night of December, waiting for your beloved bunny girlfriend to arrive at the place you agreed at.

"It's so cold," you said through chattering teeth,"Seriously, where is she..?" Picking up the phone, you took off your gloves and called her. To your delight, she picked up on the first ring.

"Baby! Oh thank goodness, I was just about to call you!" You heard her clearly distressed, and yet cheery voice through the other end of the phone.

"Hey, lovely! Are you ok? Why aren't you here yet?" Amber sighed, before speaking up "I was driving to our spot, but two of the car tires popped! I'm stuck >:(. I can't get ahold of any road-side services either! I knew they weren't big in presence in this area, but seriously.." (for anyone who might not know, road-side services are just pick up trucks <3)

"Well, are you alright? You aren't hurt, are you..?" Your tone softening, making sure that she wasn't hurt or in danger.

"No no, don't worry! I'm fine, nothing really bad happened." You sighed in relief. "Thank god.."

Fast forwarding into the conversation, you discovered that she only had one spare tire. In a panic, being worried for your girlfriend, you shimmed back to your house and drove to her location. She told you it wasn't necessary, and that she would just call Jean or Diluc to help, but you wouldn't let up. Not to mention, you were jealous of how much Jean and Diluc got to help her. On your way to her, you had kept her on call, just to make sure nothing else happened until you got there.

"Did he really have to kick them out again!?" You said in between laughs. "Yeah! Poor Diluc, he just wanted a moment of peace.."
(Listen, I headcannon that Amber and Diluc are best friends, if you don't like/you don't think it makes sense it I do not care-)

"Hey, I'm coming around the corner alright? Don't hang up just yet though." You heard her giggle through the phone, obviously trying to cover it up. "What? Why are you laughing?" You said while smirking slightly. "You're so worried about something happening to me.. it's cute, but it's a little funny too!" You smile, pulling up behind her car and getting out of yours. Noticing the phone still up to her ear, you whisper into yours, "It's because I love you~" Noticeably shivering, she turned around and shook her head at you.

After getting her tire changed, and deciding to just go back to her house to hang out, you were getting out of the shower, and heading to her room to change, when you saw a picture on her bedside table. "No way.. That's the first picture we ever took together!" You smiled widely, knowing that she had something from all that time ago. Taking notice to the picture frame being slightly wide, you opened the back of it. A small gasp escaped your lips, seeing a dried flower. "Holy shit-" "It's been forever, right?" You hear from behind you.

"Yeah! I mean, I gave this flower to you three years ago, didn't I?" "Three and five months." Amber speaks in a soft and reminiscent tone. The faint smell of the rose, mixed with the sent of the clean bedsheets made you both look back to the day everything started. "Anywayy, now that you're dressed, come into the kitchen! I made hot chocolate! Ya know, since it's cold out-" "Ooh, sweet!" You said, exiting the room. An exasperated breath came from her, as soon as you made it to the kitchen. 'Good thing you don't open the second drawer, isn't it..'  She slides the second drawer open, revealing a small velvet box. 'Would've been tonight, but my stupid car broke down..'

The two of you end up talking through midnight, as most people do. Most people stay up that late, right? Anyway- Amber snuggled her head into your chest, with your hand rubbing her back. She lifts her head up, now looking at you. "Hey, bunny?"
"Mhm?"
"Before, when I asked why you were so worried about me.. You know I'm not going anywhere, right? I mean, I know why you worry, and I know that it's a constant mental battle for you but.. You're so beautiful, 'kay? I don't mind you being a bit taller, or a bit chubbier, I honestly think it's cute! Also I know this is kinda coming out of nowhere but- After seeing how much you worried, I just wanted to let you know that, ok?"

You sniffed slightly, nodding and wrapping your arms around her a bit tighter, holding her closely. "I mean, I could show you how much I appreciate your body-"
"Amber!-"

AAAA this hits because I feel like people know that being chubby doesn't always feel great but being tall also doesn't always feel great, Ya know?- Like it's lesser known but height can be an insecurity too- Anyways, it's 1am, as per usual with me writing these chapters, hope everyone had a happy holiday experience, and if you don't celebrate anything for December, I hope you had an amazing December :)
