17* The Dungeon

°Ryuku's POV°

"Hey Magna. Let's fight. No holding back." Luck is kneeling in front of magna, who is a weight for Asta as he does push ups. Asta is at 980 now. "No way, you battle obsessed freak." Magna is eating pudding also. "Come on. Let's so it. I'm gonna eat your pudding." Luck keeps pestering him. "If you do that, I'll-" "You'll fight me?!" Luck cut him off. Magna rejects. Noelle is on the other side of Manga.

"Silvantus Schnauzer." She is trying to name the bird that followed us home on Asta's head. Vanessa's on the couch drinking. "I think something else would be better. Let's see... Like 'Wine'!" She tries calling out to it but I think it's unamused. "I will allow to borrow a single letter from the name of my little sister, the goddess Marie. I'll let you take the 'M'. Be grateful. " Gauche says to the bird, and honestly, I'm not listening to him.

"Make it something cooler! Magnam Fire!" Magna tries. Asta is already at 1,000 push ups. "Lame." Me and Noelle say. I'm sitting in front of Asta watching him, but decide to butt it. "You two have no taste." He says. "More like you don't." Noelle says back. Charmy says the bird looks yummy, but I don't think we should eat her. Isn't this bird important to the story line? I forgot. "Absolutely not!" Noelle says. Asta stops.

"Definitely Toritaro!" He says. "No. It's Silvantus Schnauzer." They start to argue what it should be. The bird pecks at Asta's head. "Let's name them Nero." I say. The bird puts up a wing as to say mine name was good. Everyone's surprised. "Looks like he approves." Luck says."'Nero' means black." I say.

At that moment, Captain Yami cane out of a spacial portal. "Alright, listen up." We welcome them back. "What did they want at the castle?" Vanessa asks. "Mission? Is it a mission?" Luck says punching the air. "I have an announcement for you all. A new dungeon has been discovered." "A dungeon?!" Magna yells out. "Are you serious Mister Yami!?" Asta starts yelling too. "What the heck is a dungeon?!" He asks. "You were surprised, and you didn't even know what it is?" Magna yells. "I was just going with the flow!"

"Talk about predictable! Listen, dungeons are kind of like ancient tombs that contain relics made by the people from back then. Sometimes they have info about powerful ancient magic or super rare magical items. They're absolutely amazing!" Magna explained to Asta. "That's a pretty good summary, Magna. " I say. "But the people back then set insane magical traps in them so that they wouldn't get misused by anyone." Luck explained the other half. "They're super dangerous and really fun!" And there it is.

"The Magic Knights always investigate them since they're so dangerous, and to make sure none of the treasures get stolen." Vanessa tells us. "Which that means the Black Bulls are supposed to investigate this newly discovered dungeon?" Noelle says to Yami. "Yes. Particularly because this dungeon popped up near our enemy's border. The Diamond Kingdom." Yami explains. "We need to take care of this mission fast so Diamond's people won't steal anything."

"By the way, there have been instances in which someone found a magical item that could change civilization itself in a dungeon, and someone even learned how to use the ultimate magic there." Asta raises his hand like a student begging to go. "I might be able to use the ultimate magic, too!"

"You don't have any magic, so that's not happening." Yami was straightforward. "You never know!" "Actually you can go kid. I fact, the Wizard King chose you himself." Asta was very surprised by that. "The Wizard King?! Why?!" He yells out. Magna congrats him. Asta starts crying for whatever reason.

"Noelle and Ryu, you two are going with. Everything counts as experience. And Luck. You're the leader. I'm leaving those three to you." Yami tells us. "Really?" He asks. "Yup. You'll lose your touch if you stay cooped up all the time. Make sure you look after the newbies." I'm about tired of him calling me a newbie. "Leave it to me!" Luck says excited. Gorgon says something but I wasn't really paying attention.

Finral opens a portal for the four of us and Vanessa tells us to be careful. "Asta! Sir Ryu! Lady Noe! Give it your all!" Finral hums. "I think I'll go find some cute girls." I just roll my eyes. "May I go see my sister?" Gauche asks. I roll my eyes at that, too. "If you're prepared to die." Yami turns to him menacingly. We walk through the portal and say bye to them.

We follow Luck to the dungeon.

"They could've just dropped us off right in front of the dungeon." Noelle says. Luck laughs, "Finral's only able to go places he's been before. Oh, but thankfully it was still near the dungeon."

We are at the dungeon entrance. Noelle and Asta look scared, but Luck seems real excited. "Let's go!" He runs in and I walk in after him. Apparently, Nero came too, because she is right on Asta's head. "It's so dark." Noelle says worried. "Don't cling to me. It's hard to walk." Asta says to Noelle. Says the guy who is practically clinging to me. "Wh-who's clinging?" Noelle says embarrassed. She trips, falling onto Asta, leading to him falling on me.

As we fall to the ground, so does the lamp I was holding. It shatters making it Pitch black. Asta and Noelle scream. "I can't see anything!" Asta yells. I grunt from the harsh landing. "What happened?" I ask. Luck laughs again. We continue on our way.

"Ow. Could you not step on my foot?" Noelle says still clinging to Asta. "I can't help it? It's pitch black in here! Stop being so pissy." Asta says to her. I don't really have a problem seeing, but they do. Asta is still clinging to me. "It's all because Ryuku broke the lamp!" She pins the blame on me. "It's not Ryu's fault! It's your fault for tripping and running into me, causing me to run into Ryu!" He says.

"How dare you? I'm royalty!" "So is Ryu!" While they were fighting, Luck found a way into the actual dungeon. It turns bright the wall in front of us disappears. The dungeon consisted of a bunch of stairways and waterfalls. Doorways and pillars. We were all surprised.

Things are gonna get messy.
