°Ryuku's POV°
Some of the smoke gathered up in the spot where the man landed. Asta was walking towards it when the smoke dispersed, revealing the guy getting away on a train made of smoke. Asta and Noelle began running after it. "You're not getting away!" Luck said using his lightning boots to get ahead. The bodies of the people Luck previously defeated were disappearing with the smoke.
"Nothing I can do about that." I said, charging after Luck and the others. He had caught up with the speeding train for a moment, but was left in the smoke a couple seconds after. "Damnit! We lost him!" I heard Asta say as i was getting closer. "You two.... Are way too fast." Noelle said, panting for breath. I strolled up by them. I wanted to save my energy for what was coming later.
"I wanted to finish him off, but I know we have more important things to do. We need to hurry to the treasure chamber." Luck said, putting his fist up. "You really have the nerve to say that?" Noelle said with a hint of annoyance. "Oh yeah! Let's get going!" Asta said. Luck was in his weird state when he senses powerful magic. "It looks like there's someone even stronger here." I say, knowingly.
°Narrator POV°
Yuno is in the middle of a fight with Mars, the diamond mage. Klaus is on the side. Mimosa is still healing. Klaus recalls things he has heard about the Diamond Kingdom making Mage warriors with artificially amplified magic. He finally decides to join after having an internal debate, but it retains to nothing. A ice clone stops it. The fight continues with Mars swinging his giant ice sword at Yuno. Just when the sword swings to finish Yuno, Asta cuts it.
°Ryuku's POV°
Asta makes it there first, saving Yuno from getting sliced in half. The sword peice somehow makes its way into the ceiling, chunks falling down. "Hey, pale guy." Asta starts. "Hand off! Yuno's my rival!"
The two begin to bicker, and then settle on which can take Mars down first. Klaus was probably having an internal breakdown about Asta cutting the sword. He didn't see the ice clone coming at him. Luck swooped in. "Weak." He said. I was with Noelle at Mimosa's healing cage. "Mimosa!" "Well, this is embarrassing... Just as you said, I'm a bit slow." She said looking at us.
"Yes. You've always have been." Noelle said, her Grimoire next to her. I make my way towards Asta and Yuno."Thats why I'm going to protect you." She said, raising up her Water dome.
"Are you the one who beat up the Golden Dawn?" Asta asked the guy. "What if I am? The weak will perish, and only the strong will remain." Mars begins. I make it next to the other two as more Ice clones appear. "That's all that matters. There is no reason for the weak to stand on the battlefield. I was born to break people like you." He said.
"Oh, really? Then go ahead, and try to break me!" Asta charged forward and swung his sword. He hit an ice clone instead. Mars was in the air, with his big magic sword, ready to fight. The sword comes down and Asta cuts it again.
Asta hits the guy, sending him into the ceiling. He falls down into the water, leaving Asta on the ground waiting. He sure is strong. But I already knew that.
Luck destroys some Ice clones, and Yuno joins in. "Oh well. Guess I'll have to stick with you guys." I say as some clones rush towards me. My Flame Shell won't work on these, so I'll have to use Phoenix. The fire bird melts the ice clones in one swoop.
"Hey come on! Are you finished already, ya jerk?!" Asta says. Mars was still in the water, but his Grimoire was floating above. A bright light shines from it and ice grows on the surface. A big burst follows after, ice rushing to Asta. I manages a hit on him. Turns out the ice is actually a big monster armour with Mars in it.
"Who... Are you?" He asks Asta. "I'm someone who was born without any magic!" Asta says with full confidence. Klaus had said earlier that it was only luck that Asta so happen to have the power to negate magic, only to see just how strong he is. "But even so, I'm going to become the Wizard King! And I'm alive, to prove that!" Asta says, standing up, ready to fight again.
Asta's shirt was ripped, showing just how much muscle he has. "He trains his body a lot to make up for him not having any magic, Klaus." I say next to him. "He is truly amazing." I say a little quieter, smiling to myself.
"I'm going to destroy everything!" Mars says. "Destroy everything? The Wizard King protects everyone! Like hell I'm going to lose to someone like you!" Asta screams for everyone to hear. "You're in my way! Begone, pebble!" Mars raises his sword. "I may just be a pebble, but I'm a pebble that shatters diamonds!"
Asta swings his sword, destroying the armour like it was nothing. Mars falls to the ground. He yells with all his might. Very inspirational, Asta. You will grow to do many things. And I will be there to help.
