°Ryuku's POV°
"It's time for your first mission." Finally!
"As I've said, we decided to put you. guys in the field," Magna continues as we are now sitting on the couch. "So, what are we doing?" Asta asks curious. "I assume it's something befitting royalty such as myself," Noelle says. "Really?" I say, annoyed, under my breath. "Yeah! Go to Saussy Village- for some boar huntin'," Magna says. "Hunting boar?" Noelle questions. "Wow. That is a terrible mission," she says unpleased. "No it's not! you take that back!" Manga yells at her. "I can bring down a boar with my bare hands, easy!" Asta says a little too confident in himself. "No, you can't! And don't even think about trying!" Magna yells again. "Can I keep one as a pet?" I ask, not really serious though. "And that's another No!" Magna screams. "Those things are pure evil. They've got beady eyes, huge tusks, and they charge for no reason!" Magna adds. Yami sighs, "We lost to the chief of Saussy Village. Now we gotta pay the price," he says. Asta and Noelle looks surprised. "The two of you lost in a fight!? How is that possible?!" Asta blurted clearly confused. "Just how powerful is this man?" Noelle asks. Yami is very blunt with his reply, "We lost at poker." Noelle and Asta say, "Poker?" Ah, so that's what it's called. "He literally stripped us of all we had." "Including half a year's wages!" Magna finished Yami's sentence. "Half a year's!?" I yell surprised. "That's not all. We also promised we'd do one thing he requested of us. And that turned out to be gettin' rid of some boar." Captain Yami told us. "There's been a herd of 'em hanging around near the village tramplin' fields and causing trouble." Magna continued. Asta raised his hand like a kid in school, "Can you explain what this has to do with us?" "Yes, exactly! You were the ones who lost. It was none of our doing. So why-" "You idiots! Do you seriously expect Yami to clean up his own mess?" Noelle was interrupted by Magna. Hmm... Guess that makes some type of sense. "Yami doesn't deal with these things. That's what he's got us for." He finishes. Captain Yami then stands up, menacingly, and blows smoke out of his mouth. "Either go or die. Your choice." "We'll go." All three of us said in unison. Then he walks out. "So what if it's boar hunting? We're finally going on a mission! I'm getting pumped now!" Asta says, and proceeds to start yelling. "I still don't see why he would be sending me." Noelle starts but gets cut off be Magna, "Come on! Do you ever doing anything other than complain?" "Actually that wasn't intended as a complaint. It's just... Given that i can't control my magic power, should I really be going on a mission at all?" Magna interrupts again with, "Dummy! That's the whole point!" "How do you expect to get any better if you aren't even willing to try?" I add to the conversation. "Besides, we're not sending some wet-behind-the-ears recruits out there alone. I'll be out there to keep an eye on you three." Magna says. "Wow! Your such a manly man, Magna!" Asta being Asta. "Aw, 'nough of that Rasta, I'm blushing." He says. "Yeah, super manly." I say sarcastic, but he doesn't seen to notice. "Well... If you insist. I suppose I would be willing to accompany you." Noelle is a lot more like a tsundere in person, isn't she? "Wow, really? Thank you." He says, but then realizes, "Hey wait a minute! How come your always lookin' down on us, huh?!" "It isn't that I choose to look down on you. You just always happen to be below me, so what else can I do?" Noelle says going back to her entitled self. "What kind of logic is that?" Magna says. I just chuckle a little. A little time passes and Finral is in front of us. "Do yo thang. Use your spatial magic to send us to Saussy Village." "Saussy village? Hm, no can do." "C'mon, it's not like I'm askin' you to do much." Finral puts his hand infront of Magna. "Now now. I can go to distant places, but only if I've marked them with my magic power before." "Huh?" Magna says confused. "In other words, you wanna go somewhere I've never been? Sorry, can't do it." Finral then makes a thumbs up at Noelle. He walks away. "Well that was a waste of time. Fine, we'll have to go by broom then." Magna complains. "Magna, sir!" Asta raises his hand again. "Yeah what is it?" "I... Can't fly on a broom." Noelle then raises her hand too. "Yeah, what is it?" "What he said." Magna groans. "Are you two kidding me?! You're so completely incompetent that you can't manage something that frickin' simple? Flying is pretty much the most basic skill a mage has!" He starts yelling at them, but mostly Asta. "I don't have any magic power, remember?" He laugh-brags. "Why do you look so proud?" "And since I can't control my magic power, flying a broom is out of the question for me. Obviously." Noelle adds. "And why are you being so arrogant?" Magna says. He groans again, "Fine! Guess we'll have to ride together. Are you ready to meet my baby?" He says. They both question him.
∆Outside∆
"Here it is! Introducing, Crazy Cyclone!" Magna says. "Wow! So cool!" Asta is amazed by it. Magna laughs maniacally. "I know right? Awesome isn't it?" "Yeah! Way awesone." Asta says. "Try lame." Noelle says. "Excuse me? Are you so blind that you can't recognize beauty when your staring' right at it?" Magna yells Noelle ignores him. "Can't we just hurry? One of you can ride with me. I suggest you do Asta, since you've rode with me before." I say just trying to hurry it up. "Yeah, I'd rather ride on that thing than with you. I feel like you would purposefully push me off." Noellle says scooting closer to Crazy Cyclone. Well, not entirely wrong. Asta just walks over to me."C'mon. I won't push you off." He sits on my broom, uneasy. "Well let's get going then!" " It's still lame." Noelle blurts. Magna growls, "Whatever! Let's Fly!" He says starting up his magic and flying off. Me and Asta charge right after them. Asta almost falls off, but grabs my waist to stay balanced. "Ya know, your broom is pretty cool too!" He says watching the sparkles come out from the tail of my broom. "You know, that seat your sitting on is for my cat, Hecate." I say to him. "You have a cat?!" He yells. "Yeah... I never mentioned that?" I said questioning him. "No-" Asta got cut off by Noelle insulting Magna, "Silence, you mohawked punk!" "Now's not the time for name calling!" They seemed to be struggling, mostly because they were wobbling. "Are you guys okay over there?" Me and Asta ask. "What do you think?!" Noelle says, clearly in distress. "Do you need help balancing?" Asta asks as we move closer. "No! I don't!" She said reaching out to push us away. She instead pushes Asta off my broom. I go after him and jump off my broom to catch him. I catch Asta by his waist and jump back on my broom. "Are you okay there Rasta?" Magna asks a little worried. He doesn't answer. Is he.. Crying? "Yeah. He's fine." I say. I sit him upright behind me and pit his hands on my waist, so that he doesn't fall. I look around. I have a bad feeling...
