~Friendship Is Just a Soul Trapped In Two Bodies~

From then on Mia came over every night. We went through photo albums, watched movies, ate food and cried. Mia and I are the kind of friends who are more like sisters. Our typical sleepover is eating food, watching movies all night then sleeping all day together. Just being around her seemed to help, her bright, bubbly, friendly personality has that kind of effect. One night due to hockey training Mia couldn’t make it however my other friends Lucy, Lola, Addison, Ivy, Liberty and Piper came to the rescue, Equipped with tissues, ice cream and many movies the girls burst through my bedroom door full of energy and life but that soon died after they saw the pain in my eyes.

Liberty has an amazing free spirit and a sense of freedom just like her name suggests. The time that I realised just how important Liberty was in my life was during the school holidays. We hadn’t seen each other for a solid 2 weeks when we finally went for a swim. We wore matching bikinis and spent hours on end laughing. But the moment it hit me most was when I went to leave and the tears formed in her eyes. It wasn’t like I was going far but suddenly at that moment the thought of us not being together and possibly not seeing each other for weeks was unbearable.The tears formed and we both cried. Lib as we call her, would do anything for her friends happiness, whether it be taking on a bully, her wise words or just her gently presence the girl has no trouble helping a friend in need and now of course was her time to shine.

Lola well Lola is your typical blonde bimbo but don’t get me wrong the girl has a big heart. Lola is full of confidence and joy and boy if you think you could embarrass her well I’ve got news for you keep trying because nothing can faze this gorgeous girl. Lola is an amazing friend who would do anything for you and will tell you her opinion not some made up bullshit. Lola and I help each other all the time with every assignment and man drama wouldn’t be as fun without her. If Lola had to be categorised in some American school year book she would be put under most likely to be famous. The girls a mega girly girl with the love of glitter and fashion she will follow her dreams and do something great as well as dramatic. One of my many favourite memories with Lola is the Port Pirie Christmas Pageant. Lola and I dressed up as clowns in matching stripy outfits. The day was a lot of fun, we ran and dance along the streets saw kids smile and kids rush for the lollies.  

Lucy is the kind of girl everyone has to love. She may seem shy but don’t let that fool you she has an amazing bubbly personality making her lots of fun to be around. Lucy would definitely be considered the smart one out of the group always making the right choices. The girl is a straight A student forever organised and ready to go. If we were to categorising this girl she would be put under ‘most likely to be successful’. If Lucy doesn’t get something in class then the rest of us have no hope in hell of getting it, no matter how hard we concentrate. Lucy is the smart one the one who makes all the wise decisions and the one we turn to asking ‘what would u do’ when we are in a difficult situation. One of the craziest memories I have with Lucy is when one day at lunch her and Lib where having a massive play fight. Rolling around in the grass and jumping on each other. We also have more mannered memories including helping each other with homework, ok more her helping me.

 Then there’s Piper, man there’s only one way to describe Piper that girl is insane. Piper or Pip as we call her has a love for performing whether it is drama or music the girl loves the spotlight. Just like Lib, Pip has been one of my closest friends for years now. Piper is your ugly snap chat kind of friend. You know that one person that you have an ugly selfie of with well that’s Pip We do the funniest and craziest stuff together. Just a week before the accident Pip and I went dress shopping and by dress shopping we mean trying on every dress in the shop and laughing at the price tags. Just simple stuff like this we could do for hours and left us with sore abbs from laughing so much.

 Addison or Addie as we call her is fab, the type of friend who when you’re not feeling well or your sad will play with your hair and make thing seem not so bad. Addie lives on a farm which is pretty cool; she even has a beautiful white horse and a goat. Whenever someone is sad Addison always says something along the lines of “I’ll be here if you need me all you have to do is call”. Addie is the friend who knows when to hug you and when to leave you alone. We all love Addie and her groovy personality.

Last but definitely not least there’s Ivy. Ivy is the girl who will always be there to pick you up when you fall. She’s fabulous at relationship advice and would do anything to keep a smile on her friends faces. Ivy is the one person who you can tell anything too. She will listen, take it in, give you advice then completely forget.

Piper came through the door wearing a red sequenced hat and began dancing, this sort of stuff Pip did regularly.  The dance came to a sudden stop though when like all the other girls Pip saw my eyes. The girls ran to my side and buried me in a big group hug. Then someone said there’s nothing better than a friend unless it’s a friend with chocolate and I have chocolate. I recognised that voice it was Mia. Everyone turned saw Mia then slowly broke away allowing room for Mia to run in and enclose me in a life squeezing hug.

“What are you doing here?” I asked

“Who cares about training” She replied “They where only going to make me run anyway.”
