Ally had never been so happy in her life.

The past couple of days had been complete bliss. Since that night, she had barely been able to keep herself off Elias, and he had been the same. An unshakable state of calm had taken her since she decided to accept Elias as her mate, completely, and she knew he was feeling the same. She had never seen him smiling so openly, and it made her entire soul feel warm. It felt impossible that they had realistically only known each other a few weeks. It felt so right to be beside him, like she had always been there, that the thought of a time she hadn't been seemed unfathomable.

The sex was incredible, and there was plenty of it. He made a move on her, she made a move on him, it never mattered. They were both trapped in some kind of spell, and the moment one of them wanted the other, there was no hesitation. It was like he knew a secret on switch for her body, and could flick it with just a look, or a passing comment. No item of furniture in the cottage had been left untouched -- not even the table out on the porch. They had at least waited until after dark for that one, just in case someone happened to stumble onto the beach in front of them. They had agreed neither of them really wanted to deal with the sand, so at least the beach had remained innocent.

In between, they had begun working out what they would do when they returned to their normal lives. They were only at the cottage for another couple of days before they had to return -- Elias had only managed to get a bit over a week off work, and she had been away from university for far too long. They had agreed that she would finish this semester and then defer her course until after the baby was born, since the end of semester was so close. They had also decided that Ally would move in with Elias as soon as Gabe found a replacement roommate for her -- though she suspected she would end up spending most nights before then at his place anyway.

"Did you want to shower now?" Elias asked her, pulling her out of her thoughts. She had entirely forgotten about the movie they were watching, and only realised then that it had finished.

"Yeah, sure," she smiled at him and gave him a peck on the cheek. "Do you want to join me?"

Elias pretended to consider it before nodding, "I'll just wash up the dishes quickly then I'll meet you in there." He got up and kissed her forehead, then wandered off to the kitchen.

Ally made her way to the bathroom and stripped out of the loungewear she had been living in, and turned on the water for the shower. The cottage had a cozy feel to it for the most part, but no expenses had been spared in the bathroom. Not only what there a giant bath in the corner -- big enough to comfortably fit two bodies with room to move -- but the shower had its own space with a giant showerhead above that made her feel like she was bathing under a steaming hot waterfall.

She stepped under the water and sighed with relief as the heat penetrated her skin, washing away the exhaustion. She closed her eyes and let the water run over her face, letting her mind empty of any thoughts and just enjoy the feeling of the water running down her body.

"Now that's a look," Elias chuckled as he stepped into the shower and parted her hair, which had been washed onto her face like a curtain. "I thought I had gotten into the shower with the grudge."

Ally poked her tongue out at him and stepped back so he could get under the water as well. She didn't even try to hide her eyes roaming up and down his body as he rinsed himself, once again admiring his form.
